Congratulations Beautiful Nic. 40 days!!!

I'm finally back home after a very stressful work trip. Didn't get the job I applied for so looks like I'm stuck in this one for a little while longer. Oh well. Things happen for a reason I guess. At least I'm finally home and will have the time to check in to SR regularly again. Have an awesome day everyone. xxx

Day 46 here. I'm doing remarkably well at work. My boss keeps giving me more to take on and has given me great compliments on the quality of my work lately. I'm still lonely as hell, but I don't feel like ripping my skin off like I did earlier in the week.

I was just about to write EXACTLY the same message as Bandicoot minus going off to bed!
Congratulations! Anything over 30 days is huge in my book. I haven't had that pleasure yet. I will next week though! Yeah!
This morning I received a small bottle of organic (??) vodka as a souvenir. A present I would have drooled at several weeks. I have just poured it down the sink! I didn't even take a sniff. It's a cute bottle so I'll put it on display for a constant reminder of how I feel at this very moment. Very empowered! Why didn't people give drinks when I was drinking??
It's definitely a turning point for me.
Feeling great now. Enjoy your day/night.

Congratulations on 40 days Nic!

Eyeshake, I’m so happy to hear the positive effects sobriety is having on your work productivity, yay! Have you considered AA meetings for some in person moral support? It would be a great way to meet new friends. Forgive me if you’ve already responded to a similar question, my memory is still malfunctioning.

Mish, I’m sorry you didn’t land the job, but keep trying, the perfect job will appear when you least expect it.

Great job pouring out the vodka Sandy!

I hope everyone has a good day or evening, carry on!

Glad to read all the good posts today.. Other than career frustrations, it sounds like folks are doing well. Glad to hear you've knocked the cold back, Thump. CoCoCo, you're at a place that sounds familiar to many of us, and maybe seems both very recent and very remote. You're always welcome to pop in-in fact, we're hitting around 40 days; i hope you come here and post a note when you reach 40! I remember reading the December class thread when I first came here and it was great, heartening, and encouraging to see how things changed for people (in the sped up frame of skipping forward pages in a click).

Have not checked in here yet, so wanted to say hi.

Stopped on 1-6-16, which I think makes this 52 days.

Not my first time at the rodeo, but going fine.

Nice to meet you.

Lost 6 KG. Blood pressure gone from 160odd back to 130 odd and resting heart rate from 80 odd to 60 odd. Feel 10 years younger already

Pedro- that in itself is amazing..., it just goes to show the damage we do to our bodies..The weight is slowly shifting for me too..
Keep up the great work :-)
