Hello all, Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends.
Snoozy, that is indeed scary about the bush fires.
Thank you to all of you in your support. No Dee, it wasn't the not being invited on Monday, although that didn't help. Something just shifted on Sunday afternoon. I can't really describe it. I got up early as usual, did laundry, then I was sitting on the couch watching TV, and I just felt this shift, this cloud of emptiness come over me. Loneliness, lack of purpose. I wish I could read like you do Wolfie, I can't concentrate. I really liked Ann Dowsett Johnstons book. I know I'm thinking too much of the past, missing Larry. Tiki is cross with me! He doesn't like it when I'm doing nothing. Oh, I canceled my penpal site. I got a really obscene message yesterday. It's was disgusting.
I really value this group. I will try and keep working on doing good things for me. Can you believe it, yesterday, I had to go out to the convenience store for milk and I thought the clerk was kinda looking at me. When I went into the bathroom later, there was a big streak of dried drool on the side of my mouth. Lovely! How the mighty have fallen!

Leshar, Can you go catch a movie or something? Anything to get you out of the house for bit. I notice if i sit somewhere I isolate and dwell on things. It is usually a recipe for disaster. I think you up in Canada so i imagine its cold. Maybe go for a walk or a drive. Distraction works well for me sometimes. Hugs Leshar.

Post Dear Leshar

You sharing your struggles; [my struggles]... is purpose enough for me. I just wanted to let you know that.
I am lonesome even with people surrounding me...and here I am, on SR, finding you.

Thank you.

You are enough.

Hello Choicy.

Not sure if this will help you Leshar, but something I changed for myself was to put the radio on during the daytime, and TV only in the evening. For some reason, turning on the tv during the day would really exacerbate my depression. Whereas the radio seems to connect me to the world.

Love to all of you. ♥

Hello Choicy,
Thanks for your message. That was kind of you.
Wolfie, I'm going to take your advice and have a soak. I bought some Epsom salts tonight, Eucalyptus!
I hope to go to the movies, maybe on Sunday. "The 33" is playing and I want to see it.
Hope everyone is doing reasonably well.

Haha, Dee, you know it's funny, I was thinking about how Eucalyptus was from Australia when I was enjoying the lovely scent! Thanks!
I feel better after my bath. Clean sheets and jammies! Life's small pleasures!
A friend wants me to go "Black Friday " shopping with her tomorrow. I'm not so sure, I don't like the idea of the crowds.
A friend I called yesterday told me her daughter's brother in law in his 40s just died of alcoholism. So young.

In the uk their introducing black Fridays the last was a fiasco with crowds stampeding I hope the uk can learn from the rest of the world

Wishing everyone a good day

Hi everyone,
I didn't go Black Friday shopping. I called my friend and she'd already gone and come back. I missed visiting with her, but not the crowds. I think she knew I wasn't keen on the crowds.

Hello everybody,

It's nice to have the day off. It's a little cloudy here, but warm out.
I'm just watching a little TV. We have a turkey in the oven and fixings prepared. We like leftovers and seeing how we visited a relative for Thanksgiving yesterday, there wasn't any leftovers.
Plan to take the pup for a walk after we eat.

Yesterday was 28 months for me.

Speaking of Austrailia..
I have a friend visiting Eastern Australia in February for a month...any tips, advice, or anecdotes?!

Hey-ya venuscat! Thanks for the welcome.

Decided I am doing my shopping online this year. No hassles no fights no crowds. I got a laptop we needed. I got it today. Unsure how much savings i got but we needed one regardless.

Looking forward to catching up on some reading.

Bears won an exciting game last night. Great start to the long weekend.
