Thanks for the new thread, Dee. And thanks for reminding me that being alone is only a problem if I choose not to seek company when I need it.

My son breezed through town tonight. He came over for about an hour -- ate a sack of potatoes, a pound of roast pork, half a baguette, a bushel of beans and 1/2 an apple pie, took some money off his dad and left. What a life!

He's a sweetie. I'm lucky.

P.S. lest anyone think he's living the high life, he was passing through on a couple of hours of sleep between helping his girlfriend to JFK airport and getting back on a 5 hour midnight bus to the town where he lives so he can get to work at 7 a.m. in the morning. His clothes are ratty and he works just above minimum wage.

But. Still. To be young.

Nah. If I knew then what I know now, I'd screw it up twice as bad.

LOL I wouldn't be young again - I'd make the same mistakes.

Courage, that is an average day with my son and he lives here. Lol and I'm with Dee, we are always here. at least someone is.

Last night I tripped and my foot cracked, I have that plantar fasciitis acting up again and I was worried I broke something but it appears to be ok today, just sore. My partner is taking me to see the Picasso & Dali exhibit tonight, it is a precelebration to my anniversary Tuesday. And we are going to my favorite Mexican restaurant.

All is well with the sponsee. She is actually doing the homework gave her. My homework from my sponsor is to call 3 sober alcoholics a day. I'm terrible at it and most day I barely squeak by but I am doing it. Yesterday I actually talked to 4.... Wonder if I can carry 1 over to today? LOL

I hope everyone is doing well. Courage, I hope that you're feeling better.

I'm indulging in a spot of Facebook teasing Mrs N who's out at a Christmas function - Abi is our youngest who's just been started trumpet lessons.

I'm having a great night in reading in front of the fire - would much rather be here than there!

That sounds very fun but I don't completely understand it -- Facebook-ophobe here, I admit!

Aw don't be a phobe! It's fun! I know that a lot of people don't Ike it, but I think it is great. I have friends and haven't seen in years, my recovery friends, animal pics and positive things all day on it. People get down about their friends having seemingly better lives but I enjoy seeing people doing well and looking happy. Cheesy, I know. AND that is where I get my Zumba bash news! Lol

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'm resting my piggy, I don't think it broke but it is sore. So we spent the morning garage sale-Ing and I got a new coffee table (new to me!) for $20 and it is really cool because it doubles in size. Sponsee is well, we speak daily. Having sister drama but I'm too tired to text it out now.

Rambling now... Hope you all are well.

Is it the little piggy that ate roast beef or the one who got none?

my kids still laugh when do the round the garden (went the teddy bear) on their hands and one two three up the arm and tickle the armpit - can't imagine there's many years of that left!

Morning all, just checking in. Been busy studying, have my final Wednesday night, working through a sample test a few times. Got 100% on my 2nd term test so we are in good shape, have basically passed at this point (would have to bomb and get 40% on the final to fail at this point). Rather surprising to be posting this now considering what I was starting to go through a year ago.

Hope everyone has a good week.
