Mark - I agree that's not a good job for a young lady. When I was 19 or 20 I worked at a crappy video store and closed up at 10. I was alone, and a lot of the gentlemen who frequented the place late at night were patrons of our, ahem,"back room." It always made me a little nervous to be alone with them when obviously they were thinking about things that might pique their interest in a 19 year old girl. Not even the unlimited access to the snacks section made that job worth it.

The guy(?) that runs that smoothie king should be shot Mark. Maybe not shot, but educated. What on earth is wrong with him? You NEVER put a young girl in danger like that. I doubt it's even legal. Two young people on together ALWAYS if it's nighttime.

I don't even think that she should be working that late on a school night! I agree Mark, change the hours or shut her down. BTW, I love this " I expect them to achieve academically (according to ability), have a good work ethic, and not consider themselves entitled. " That's my goal as well. Especially the "not consider themselves entitled" part.

I have the same goals for my kids. My son, however, seems entitled. He does not save his money, or plan well for purchases, and he will say, "Oh, I will just get that for Christmas." I think he still believes in Santa too. Our daughter does save, and is very thankful for things she has. Plans some special purchases of big items for herself, etc...
Maybe it is his age. He is 11. He has always been pretty generous and shares easily. But so bad with money!
Dog seems ot be doing well. He was neutered on Tuesday. Wearing the cone of shame and seems full of energy. He has ot lay low for 10 days and that is a challenge, because he has some energy and wants to play. But he was timid of his frind today. I let him out to wait for the bus with us and his bff came by. He seemed to retreat, and wanted to stay away from her. Maybe the cone.
