It's a dark and rainy day here, and even my dogs have wanted to sleep all day. We desperately need the rain, but it's sapping all my energy.
I hope this next week is a good one for all of us.

So glad to see you too Chick, Chick - I find much support in our class of fools & also going to AA meetings...making some connections.
Baby on his way!!! Water broke this afternoon & I am here with my Grandsons now. Just got them to bed....so, so glad to be here!!

Chickchick, you're back on track, those days will soon be weeks. You can do this.
I'm starting to plan Christmas. It's another tricky time for me, so I want to have some good strategies in place.

Busy day ahead today, hoping to get all of my paperwork and planning up to date. I'll feel so good about it if I manage to finish the day with a clear slate.
My workout this morning has helped to get me fired up to tackle today's mission.

Makes me sad when our thread slows down ...
Anyway ... Playing nurse for the hubby - who just had surgery. Wow. Can't imagine that profession!

I mentioned my sisters. So sad bc I visited with one who I thought was ready for help. She's not and I'm feeling a little helpless there ... Any suggestions? She's never sober anymore. Our mom was at least still going to work everyday ...

41 not out..!
My lord everything has changed for the better since getting sober. Pretty happy to be in this position.
A sober life is so much better.
82 days today, it's taken a long long time to get back to 90!
Izzy, at least you're leading by example for your sisters...hope the hubby heals up soon.

In meetings, ref. .....folks who have people in the family , or their family of friends still suffering ,... I've heard ,...."but for the grace of God, there go I "
,.... the section here on SR ,...the "friends and family" section,...
Those folks have a ton of ESH ,....
Hope your OH is up and about soon. Sending prayers ,....

Izzy, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. I don't have any suggestions other than keep doing what your doing, which is to show her that there is another path. I hope things improve for her.
I had a spectacular fall yesterday, slipping on a rock. Luckily I didn't hurt myself badly, but my back is a bit tender today. It looked a bit like a failed kick boxing move! I need to work on the fall part before I start competing.
The electricity is being turned off again today (it was off yesterday through the day time too). They're replacing some poles apparently. It's surprising how much of life is dependent on electricity. Luckily I'll be at work for the most part so I'll still be able to boil a kettle if I want a cup of tea.
Anyway, almost the end of the week, let's finish strong.

Incidents like that used to send me straight to the bottle for my " medicine "

This year is finishing fast!
I'm aiming to finish this year strong, so I can start 2016 with some good habits and a strong, healthy body. No more New Years resolutions for me!

All's well here- I will say that of all the things I would like to be when I grow up, the medical profession is not one of them. Had to remove a bandage today and was no fun at all ... Thankful for those who do though!
