Class of January 2015 Part 5
day 53, working the next three days 12 hour shifts, ugg!!!
i am grateful for my job, dogs and roof under my house.
I read here in a thread that our memory comes back in about three months...
OMG, i just finished my first cup of coffee and there's something gross stuck to the bottom of the inside of the cup
Have a great day everyone...

Checking in at 50 days sober. Glad to hear that our memory comes back after 3 months. Mines just awful these days. I can't ever remember where I put stuff and I constantly can walk into a room and forget what I came into the room to get.
Yeah - my memory is still not that great. Day 68 - I'm going to try to stop counting days at 90.
Greateful it's starting to get nicer out and I'm looking forward to the spring and new beginnings. I do wish I could still numb out at times - wish there was another way to do it - but alas there is not so onward we push with clear heads.
I hope you guys all a nice and fruitful Monday.

Good evening everyone
Spent my second Sunday in a row working (unpaid) at my sisters restaurant again. Not quite sure how I got talked into that.
It is unusual to be in the position where London is enjoying nicer weather than other parts of the world. That doesn't happen very often (apparrantly London was hotter than Corfu yesterday)
The 90 day present sounds like a great idea LLG
Teebee I'm definitely in London proper - I live in a place called Shoreditch. It's mentioned in the old nurser rhyme "...when I grow rich. Said the bells of Shoreditch". It's about two miles north of the Thames and about a mile from the City of London. Harlow is about 15 miles north east of me - I go from time to time myself for work. Harlow is in the county of Essex which is often compared to New Jersey in the States (right down to the organised crime), but it is always open for business. My Ex wife lives in a place called Romford as do my daughters. It's where I lived as a kid for a while too
Lovehoops, I hope your husband can get through his business troubles and be in a better mood soon
James - I listened to the cricket surreptisciously at work. Expect sackings to commence soon

Hi all,
Quick check in. Glad to hear everyone is doing well and staying sober. I enjoy catching up and checking everyone's posts. I survived the weekend with my arguing family and now another work day under our belt.
I realized this afternoon that today was the day 10 years ago that I initially stopped drinking. I went to my first AA meeting on 3-9-2005. I struggled for the first few months and finally put down a drink in July. Just can't believe it was 10 years ago???
I wish I never picked up a drink since then but I am glad to be sober today!
have a lovely evening fellow Januarians and thank you for always posting and helping to keep me sober xo

Hi,
Today was a very long day as I took my wife to a hospital in Round Rock for back surgery- about a 45 minute drive. The doc said the surgery was successful and that is the important thing. Now a long period of rehab for my wife.
After getting home at 1030 PM last night I had to get up at 330 AM to make the drive and wait for the 7 hour surgery. I just got home an hour ago. Needless to say I'm very tired and am about to hit the sack.
Congratulations to everyone for racking up those sober days!

Hi everyone. I have off until Saturday take care of my wife's recovery for back surgery. Everyone at the hospital says she is doing very good and she may be released tomorrow. I ended up sleeping in and feel good now.
I am still sober through this and am very determined to stay that way.
Sisterbobby, I didn't know there was a girl power thread, but more power to you!
Have a good evening everyone.
