Overwhelmed 38 days is fantastic! I'm glad that your son is going to graduate, that has to be a load off your mind. Hang in there, things will get better. This too shall pass.

No one in my life truly understands addiction except you guys, here at SR. I think I would have broken if not for you allowing me to rant, and allowing me to be a part of your recovery as well. Sometimes just reading posts for a few hours and lurking just makes me feel better.
overwhelmed- I feel much the same. Congratulations on 38 days, wow!

I agree, my counselor suggested I have my wife go to Al Anon but I don't want to ask her to do a 12 step when I don't want to.

Congrats on 38 overwhelmd

Up- my husb was very sweet and went w me to a meeting. He actually enjoyed it! But I think he's relieved that I have you guys instead. I mentioned the other day that I should probably sign off for different reasons. He was like, no! I think that group is really good for you! I think so too .

Hey there Overwhelmed! We have all been there and I appreciate your sharing with us! Collectively, we are stronger!

Topspin- I understand the lacing up part! I put on my workout clothes as soon as I get home from work. They are more comfortable anyway, seem to set the stage that I am going to do "something" and my battle uniform with my AV. 4:30-9:30 seems to be my toughest time of the day...but, it has gotten easier this past week. If I am tired, I make a deal with myself that I will just walk a bit...this usually leads to me feeling better and I almost always end up doing more.

Izzy - I think you are right...endorphins are playing a huge role in my life right now. I think I am literally exercising/exorcising my alcoholism.

xoxo Pan

Day 17 all and still sober but I am so mad at my university group project members and my professor that all I can think of is that I want some vodka! Grrrrrrr. Why is life SO unfair? I feel like the ones who try to do well/good are the ones who get screwed over.

It's nice, right? Except I get a little irritated with the, "how are you FEELING?" and "how are the CRAVINGS?" questions. I know, probably totally selfish of me. He is a real sweetheart. I really shouldn't complain.

Checkin in and saying hi before a short night shift tonight, just like 5 hours and the last one is pretty light...did some grocery shopping and took a long hot shower, I chalk a day of nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary up as a win and a good day, hope everyone is hanging in! I'll be bored at work and on and off here thru the evening at work

I get off at 10 pm NY time and wanna do some reading and a movie before bed, I have gotten so many suggestions of both here I don't know what to pick!

haha na that's not selfish in my eyes, I'm the same way, I don't need to be constantly reminded and people will know pretty easily if I'm not doing well haha
