Class of February 2013 Part 10
V! Congratulations!!!!!!!
You bring such inspiration, and always know the right thing to say, and your true present self to the boards - we all admire, look up to you, and thank you for being a wonderful companion and sense of join in the journey we've had this year.
Like Mel said - you're our Feb Group Scout Master - and I'm exited where you lead us this next year

How funny, and good morning!!! ♥
You all inspire me. And I was a girl guide, (briefly), and as long as you don't need me to start a fire with sticks, I'm in!!!
So onto a new year for all of us...and with a bit of luck, our missing classmates will find their way back.
I did visit the new Feb Class, and now I'm getting attached...cheering them on....like I have time to read any more threads! LOL.
My heart is here....this thread will always come first. I love you all very much.

Congratulations Mel! Today is your Day!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!
You've been such a beautiful inspiration and confidant on this journey- always with a wise perspective. Can't wait to see where you'll head in year 2.
So proud here too!
Now, let's see if these little guys dance in sync

Hi everyone thanks so much for all the one year love. Treated myself today like it was my birthday with new nail polish, an afternoon of sun bathing, and a pasta dinner. Love you all so much. I tried so many times to get sober and it wasn't until I found you that it stuck. Thank you being in my life, you mean so much to me. Xoxo M
How is everyone? Anyone have any one year words of wisdom you would give the you last February?
My best advice to myself was to "take it easy" and "rest" when adjusting to dealing with life sober (which I'm still reminding myself to take care of myself when I need it) still feel like someone learning to deal with life without running from it. Life lesson for me for sure.
Love you all, M

My best advice is listen to all of those who tell you to WAIT before making any major changes.
Specifically relationship changes in the first year of sobriety.
I didn't truly understand this until I messed it up, and it could easily have cost me my sobriety.
I discovered that my feelings about many things are different than I thought they were.
I realised how important it is to give ourselves the time to truly find out who we are as sober humans.
And to stay in constant contact with other recovering addicts/alcoholics.
Nothing in this past year has kept me more grounded than that.
Love to all,

Excellent prompt Mel, and lovely to hear your advice. Sounds like you enjoyed a lovely day.
Falling asleep so will post my thoughts later...in the meantime, wishing everyone sweet dreams and/or a lovely day where ever they are
