Class of February 2013 Part 9
Little V is very sick; I was able to find a vet who could see her on a Sunday.
He was wonderful.
But unfortunately she is in a bad way; what I thought was a UTI (bladder infection)
was not. Well it is, but he thinks she has an illness called FLUDT.
Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease.
I am praying that she responds to the medication today.
I am praying like crazy that she does not have this disease.
If she doesn't improve today, she has to be hospitalised tomorrow.
The cost of this would be astronomical, which I would not even be thinking about if I had the money. Sigh.
So please send out prayers for my beautiful fluff.
So much love to all,
V xx

Fan- that sounds awesome and a lot like mine. My studio is considered anusara inspired but I take a yoga hour vinyasa flow class that they offer. I am obsessed with this place and my teacher so I know what you mean. She starts out class with an intension (for example she read that we forget everyday things out of repetition like "did I lock the front door?" And our conscious minds only kick in when were learning something new- so then the whole class was unusual poses we don't normally do) then after a few oms we get of flow of things all while John Mayer-ish music plays. Its an intermediate class with beginner modifiers so all are welcome. Then during savasana my tiny little blonde teacher sings these Indian lullabies in the most beautiful angelic voice. It's magical.
I'm on day 8 of a self imposed 30 day challenge so I'm excited to see how I improve physically and mentally.
Thanks for talking about your yoga all along. You were a part of me reconnecting with my practice and for that I thank you. Namaste =)

Mel - 30 day challenge, cool!! Does that mean going every day? I bet you'll see some crazy results. And your studio sounds great. It makes such a difference; I've been to some others that just did not do it for me.
I'm just starting to realize that along with being a really important way for me to chill out, yoga is also a skill and that surprise, I'm getting better at it... I did an inversion workshop yesterday and my handstand is coming along in a pretty awesome way. Plus it was 3 hours long, so even that is pretty crazy compared to five months ago when an hour felt soooo long. So now I'm starting to get really excited about pushing through from beginner to a more solid intermediate.
Glad you're hooked, too

venus, prayers coming your way for little venus! my kitty had a horrible urinary tract disease, he had to go to kitty hospital too. but after that, all I had to do was change his food and it never bothered him like that again. hoping it's something that "easy" for your little fluff.
Hi all,
wehav, she has been on UT food all year, since her last infection.
That's why the vet was so concerned.
The really really really good news is that the meds kicked in, the bleeding stopped, and she seems to be doing a lot better today.
The vet says she doesn't have to go in at this point. Just have to monitor her closely, and keep fingers (and toes) crossed.
I have never been that scared before in my life.
I did a lot of praying.
All I could think, was stay sober NO MATTER WHAT!!!
I lost my first cat with a serious illness at the same age....I just kept thinking Please God, not again.
Thank you all for your good wishes and prayers.
And how amazing that we can go through some incredibly hard challenges?
So much strength and love and support here; we never have to be alone.
One thing though ~ could the powers that be give me a little drama-free time??? Please?
Love to everyone ♥

V I'm here for you if you need someone to talk to. I know you're busy with the care taking but please try to check in daily even if its short so we know how you're doing. Sending lots of love and good vibes xoxo
Hello my very special classmates!!!
You are all wonderful.
Well, today went from the worst day I have ever had to maybe hopeful.
She got worse and worse...I made another vet appt, but had to go to work in the meantime.
Just imagine trying to clean this huge house for a brand new client when I was paralysed with fear.
And guilt for leaving her.
I prayed, cried and cleaned.
Anyway, when I took her to the vet, I got a whole different story from Sunday.
Different vet clinic.
He said he thought the other vet had given her the wrong medication, the worng anti-inflammatory to be precise.
So he gave her the one he suggested, and within five minutes it was as if the lights had come back on in her eyes.
At this point, I have another appointment scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in case she does not continue to improve.
Then they have to do some yucky stuff to her that I don't want to even think about.
BUT...this vet thinks very differently from the first, and believes he can treat her.
This morning I thought she might die.
Tonight I think she just MIGHT be OK.
We shall see.
While I DID NOT and DO NOT want to drink, I was having some very dark thoughts this morning. Stuff I can't discuss here...so you can imagine.
So I go to bed cautiously optimistic, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support.
Hope everyone is doing OK.
All of my love,
V xx
