ps - I'm logging in first thing this morning to wish you a wonderful 9 months! I have been counting down the days, checking the calendar until it's the 4th. I forgot that Oz is ahead of us in the US.....duh!!!!!!

Honesty. I thought it would be a good idea about a month ago to have a joint I don't smoke the stuff in the past but for some reason I started and scared myself yesterday when I had a morning one and went all day went to a meeting today at AA and told someone then rang my sponser and told her just rang my husband and explained why this is not a good idea for me the obsession came back strong not to drink but anything that made me not feel I had to be honest with my SR family to I can't afford secrets and have asked god for protection against myself I never want to have my old life back cause in one month I went back so I believe 100% I am powerless over this disease cause if I didn't see it I would have picked up a drink I think taking on studying got overwhelming and my old thinking came back I'm not good enough ect without even knowing it I love you guys and I always want to be honest x

liss, glad you realized your thinking was headed south before it got bad, good job! I have heard about something called "the marijuana maintenance plan" and it sounds kind of scary. I do know one gal who had 5+ years sober. I don't know her well enough to know what exactly happened, but I remember she started smoking pot. then I would see her in the bar drinking n/a beer, like almost every day (I knew this because guess where I was nearly every day? ;-o). A short time after that, I saw her at the grocery store pushing a cart full of beer.
That was 4 years ago and last I heard she's still drinking. I never see her anymore though...
so yeah, the "MMP" kind of scares the bejezus out of me.

Hi all! Huge congratulations to you Venus! So, so proud of you, and glad that you've heard from PK and she's doing well.
Its my birthday today- 33 and plan to spend it sober for the first time in 17years!
Im doing well, hammering the aa meetings and slowly day by day getting stronger.
This class is still in my heart and would be great to see more of us from the start posting here just to let us know theyre ok.

Thanx guys had melt down this morning had to do assignment audio omg lost my **** and said sorry to everyone ahhhhhh anyway I did it but have to edit end cause still filming and I got excited and dropped F bomb omg ahhhhhhhhh hope hubby can do it lol

Liss - thank you so much for sharing. Like V, I noticed your pull back from SR. Glad to have you back. The adjustment to school was tough for me too and stressful. I slide backwards for a bit (I picked up diet coke again) and had to learn how to manage the stress level similarly to how I had to learn how to do it when I stopped drinking in Feb.
School is an opportunity for growth. I know you can do this. Hugs!

Forgot to add my update 
School is going well. I am really lucky. I found THE most amazing partner for my year long thesis project. Compared to my first project, when my partner was escalating to my advisor, it is incredibly refreshing to work with someone you can trust.
We both are unique in that we took a 2 year break from school to do our own personal development journeys, etc.
