Funny thing is I used to smoke to cover the scent of booze on my breath. Once I gave up the smokes, I was really at a loss as to how to sneak my quick gulps of whiskey or vodka (I know some people think you can't smell vodka, but you can, especially the bargain basement brands I used to buy).

Hey all, i'm still going. Been so busy with doing my + the stress of my ever nearing dissertation deadline. (it's due in 2 weeks eeek). At the docs tomorrow, maybe some tinkering with my meds can help me get through a very stressful month. I'm a bit on edge at the moment, but i'll be fine.

Love to you all, bit of a day off tomorrow so i'll have a chance of catching up. Sat with the better half being forced to watch Coronation Street (the pain)....

Finally some time today to log on and check in. It looks like everyone is in good spirits heading into the weekend. I had a wake up call today and I was reminded that I need to be 100% at all times. A tragedy happened to a Florida family and while I have no doubt it was a horrible accident it proves that you need to be totally aware at all times. I don't see how you can achieve that when you're impaired or hungover.

So I head into this weekend with a renewed desire to stay sober. 3 more polo games until next season (only 2 Sundays)! I'm not wishing my weeks away but it will be a relief to have this season behind me. There will always be temptation but I guess I feel that if I can get through polo season, especially the Open, then I can get through anything. I doubt that that is logical thinking but there it is.

I am wishing everyone a great and sober weekend!

Hi Marchers!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Made it home last night without any more rain.

For those who asked, pinsetters are the machines used in bowling centers, they are more complex than anyone who has never seen one in action would know.

I got a hold of a troubleshooter today and he will be down next week to help me do the necessary repairs. Bosses took the news well as it will be costly to fix.

I cant say Thank You enough to everyone on this site, without you last night would have been a big mistake.

Today is much better and am looking forward to a safe and sober weekend.

Good morning Marchers, you were a chatty crew last night!

It was very brave when some of you posted your photos the other week and I must admit that I had the same thoughts as North about you doing that so, in a spirit of sharing, my mug will be up here over the weekend.
