I know you're feeling defeated, I know that's hard, and my personal experience has been that when I'm feeling beat down, that's the time I have to keep picking myself up over and over again until I turn in the other direction and move forward and up.

You can do this.

Sending you a hug. Try the other meeting, it may be better! Every meeting is not a good fit.

It wasn't the actual meeting or its content that bothered me, I think. It just made me feel like I'm so far away from having a normal life right now. The actual meeting was good.

Today was a better day. I've probably talked about how one of my boss' husbands was someone I worked with in the community in my previous job. We always had a good relationship. Well, he is lending me a car for a week starting Rhursday! So I don't have to do this for one full week!!!!

im also going to get the car towed up here and looked st next week. It might be something simple/fixable for a few hundred bucks. If it is, I can get it back on the road. I was reading that it might be something simple like air in the lines or something. I figure it's worth a try at this point.

I'm going to go eat at the bar across the highway. I need good food in my life right now.

It's good to hear that positivity in your post Lacey, I'm glad you found some answers to the transportation issues, and hope you had a good meal.

I'm so bored in this motel! I can't wait to go home and have a "normal" life...even if it is only for one week. At least at home, I could clean or take a walk because I have the right shoes there. Here there's NOTHING to do!

I am so pleased to hear that some things are looking up for you, with transportation, with visiting home, and for something as simple as knowing you needed to have a good meal.

Thanks! Sooo also...I have a phone interview with a job (exactly like the one I have and the one I wanted most of the three I applied for) on Tuesday. It would involve moving, but it's way more money and maybe it's time? I'm excited.

So much for a day off! I've been cleaning this house all day. Turns out, the cats that were staying here weren't always using the litter box. I ripped out carpet and everything. I'm massively downsizing stuff in case I wind up moving.

Ok. So no interview. Apparently, I'm a criminal and not entitled to basic human courtesy any longer. Tie me to a tree somewhere and let me die.

This sucks, because I felt really good about how things were going and I get hit with this. I will be over it in a few days, but it's not a fun few days.

All totally preventable by never looking for jobs again.

It's fine. I just need to realize I can't trust everyone in this profession. That's all I can really say.

They were supposed to be expediting my retirement check. Now they're not. They're saying mid-April. I can't do two more months of this. I literally have no life.

You are persevering and getting through this Lacey, one day at a time, and sometimes that's part of having a life. Not always easy ya know, but you'll get to the other side of this.
