Grateful that visitors are leaving tomorrow morning. Fun, but enough already.
Grateful to see silversky.
Numblady - that's how it was for me, too. I hadn't actually set out to quit forever, though I desperately needed to. One day led to another & before I knew it, a year had passed and I hadn't seen any reason to return to that misery. (Now the year has become almost 12.) Proud of you!
Grateful Aly got her blood test over with today.
Fearless - I need to follow your example & get up earlier. 7-7:30am is my usual time, & I thought that was rather impressive.
Grateful Zip had a good time on NYE.
Grateful to know you're all here.

I'm not even going to say what time I get up some days...I'd give anything to be an early riser. I seem to need a lot of sleep these days.
Grateful for Fearless' 3 sober NY. I hope I got that right. I seem to be hopeless at the anniversary issue. Anyway, so very happy for you my friend.

Grateful to be hangover and guilt free this morning.
Grateful g.son is sleeping late again, it is very unusual but good.
Grateful Mr D.B has gone to work.
Grateful I took my Christmas decorations down yesterday, it looks all bare now, I like it.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful to be taking Lulu cat to the vet later for a health check and an inoculation jab.
Grateful NewChapter has set some new goals.
Grateful Numblady has a pedicure and message arranged. I think the black eyed peas sound delicious by the way.
Grateful Fearless's brisket and potatoes were a success ( sorry I gave Numblady the credit lol).
Grateful Fearless got some extra sleep time yesterday, that's good.
Grateful Courage has a lovely trip to Mexico to look forward to. Safe journey Courage.
Grateful Silversky has joined us and grateful the tortoise was found. I love tortoise.
Grateful Hevyn's visitors are leaving. I'd be feeling the same way Hevyn.
Grateful Aly is getting her blood test done and dusted. Aly, every single female in my family, apart from my daughter, so far, has thyroid problems. I remember my grandmother and her sister both having goitres. I've had an under active thyroid for many years now.
Grateful to be here with you all.
Grateful for the humour, love and empathy given from all of you. xx

Soberwolf, ha!
RZ, somehow I missed that you had last chemo. Happy for you! What comes next?
Thanks for all the kind words on hitting 2 years.
Aly, I love the graphics. Where do you all find them? Also, although I love early mornings and pride myself on being an early riser I did read there was some study that night owls have more productive time overall. So there!
Silver sky, happy to see you’ve joined us!

Grateful to be up to do yoga and hopefully work out some of the soreness from the deep tissue massage.
Grateful for Advil.
Grateful that I had time and space to spend almost 3 hours at a spa last night. What a lucky life.
Grateful that when I told the lady giving me a pedicure that I was celebrating 2 years without a drink, she relayed that she had been sober for 8 years! It was nice to connect on that level as we watched ladies walking around with their glasses of white wine getting their spa treatments.
Grateful for this day.

NL, for the graphics go to the smiley face up top, go to the bottom where it says more smilies and there are tons of smilies!
Grateful I have my shift at ARF today, although I'm feeling tired. I didn't sleep all that well. Grateful for coffee.
Grateful one of my favorite shows, Pit Bulls and Parolees, is on today. They do such good work for all dogs, not just pitties. I love that they do such good work for dogs and people.
Grateful for all of you so much. Have a great day! ♥♥♥

Aly, thanks for the tip! There are all kinds of things in there. Wow!
RZ, fingers crossed for the insurance gods to be kind.
Really worried about Australian colleagues and animals and everyone there. I can’t imagine how terrifying it is to be surrounded by fires. Not really a grat but a prayer.

Grateful I was able to help my daughter with a 3 a.m. growing pain wake-up. I mean, it’s still painful to be woken up but nowhere near as painful as when drinking.
Grateful to remember that even though I am suddenly feeling totally incompetent at work and like I am not making people happy, the feelings will eventually pass. When I couldn’t go back to sleep last night I just spent a while letting myself feel the emotions. It didn’t really help but even in middle of night worry mindset I could remember that the worst isn’t really that bad in this scenario.
Grateful my headache is not alcohol related.
Grateful to be able to take my kids to the mall and buy them some shoes and hopefully something that at least resembles a jacket. As we have discussed before, jackets are evil incarnate and no innocent child should have to wear them, you monsters!
Grateful for the sunrise.
Grateful that each day is a chance not to be good but to be of service. Sometimes I think I focus too much on the former, like in the sense of achievement. That is fraught with self sabotage, really.
Grateful for my trusty friend, coffee.
Grateful for my trusty friends, all of you.
