Grateful to wake up sober again.
Grateful to take the oldest g.son ( aka young Sheldon) to school.
Grateful the other 2 go back tomorrow.
Grateful to be sat at the swimming baths watching the 'other 2' swimming and grateful that they are both competent swimmers, so I don't have to go in with them. The water is too cold for me.
Grateful the cleaning lady has just finished cleaning the bathroom. I was cross legged in desperation.
Grateful to be able to post from my phone though it's frustrating that I can't like any posts.
Grateful to be here with you all.
Grateful for the grats. Xx

Aww, grateful to log back in and see Daisy and Fearless had missed me. Ol' Deserto was just wandering around deserts, as he is wont to do.

Grateful to have turned on airplane mode for my soul and to have been largely offline over the holiday.

Grateful to have had a wonderful two weeks with the, ahem, girlfriend in New Mexico and Arizona. (She graduated from lady friend somewhere before the New Year. It was quite the ceremony.)

Grateful to have had a quiet, peaceful New Year in the Chiricahua mountains at a ranch where the wild turkeys left tracks in the snow like dinosaurs.

Grateful to have had a minor political argument with the girlfriend. Deserto sure can dig in all four heels when he senses he might be wrong but it was good for him to know that a difference of opinion doesn't mean he's going to be placed in the reeds like baby Moses and and abandoned because he sure does find it tiresome to have to rescue an entire people just to conceal the hurt in his heart.

Grateful to have a job I love but am rather ambivalent (at best) to have to go back to it today.

Grateful to be back online with all the Grat Pack! Happy New Year!

Anaya - 'Grateful for healing and hope' - I agree.
Rose - Glad to have you back home with us. I ate everything in sight. Now I pay.
Aly - I hope you can make the class, but please baby yourself a bit.
Deserto! Girlfriend, is it? How exciting. I just hope she is worthy of our Deserto. I hope the return to work wasn't too painful.
Grateful to know I won't betray myself with foolish behavior.
Grateful that I'm adjusting to a boring living room without the tree.
Grateful so many are donating to Australia.
Grateful for the kindness and caring we share.

Rusty - also grateful that everything is as it should be with you especially but with us all generally.

NL - sounds like you ended up having a fun evening. And I'm glad you know your place (assistant mayor). Already I end up being the assistant never the boss in my granddaughter's games.

Ananya - with you on the sunshine. We actually had some in London yesterday. A tiny unexpected pop of spring.

Daisy - waiting for the day when I won't have to go into the water for toddler swimming lessons. I fear it may be a long wait.

Deserto - the very best to you and your girlfriend! Sympathies for your return to work, a dreaded symptom of January for the non-retired.

Aly - I'm sure you know this already, but in my experience if that cold does go to your chest best to stay home for a day or two. I think it does stop it getting more prolonged than it would otherwise.

Hev - can't tell you how much I like my boring treeless living room!

Grateful I went to the hygienist yesterday despite being ridiculously terrified at the prospect. I told her how I felt and she couldn't have been nicer or more understanding. Such a relief that's done now for a few months.
Grateful to have had a couple of days off before my childcare routine kicks in again, as of today.
Thankful to have met a friend for coffee yesterday. Great to have a catch-up.
Thankful that I froze a load of Christmas-type food before I went away. Was so sick of festive food at that time I felt like ditching it which would have been wrong on many counts. And now at least I don't have to cook for a couple of days.
Grateful to all of you.

Deserto!! I am so happy to see you back, soul rejuvenated and various lessons about heel-digging and people-saving been learned.

Grateful that on Mondays Spotify and my yoga site refresh with new stuff. May be one of the few positives of Mondays.
Grateful to be up mega early. I don’t know why I woke up before 4 a.m. but I just made the best of it and have had time to browse and post. I could also lengthen the time I was planning to work out but I really don’t think I want to get carried away.
Grateful to finally feel warm. I think this is a sign of age? Being cold at night in spite of blankets? I put on a base layer and a fleece and pounded some coffee. Much better.
Grateful for my trusty yoga mat.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful for online courses.
Grateful for all of you.

Aly, sorry about your cold and a i hope you feel better soon . I am so ver glad you have found sober friends at Arf
Hev, your post reminded me to get those bird reflectors/decals so i just one-clicked on Amazon. Grateful for the ease of shopping in today’s day
Glad Daisy’s housecleaner finally let her into the bathroom. Lol
Numblady, I am picturing the bougainvilleas. I don’t have a problem changing my avatar but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to upload a picture anywhere else.
Grateful for Anaya’s avatar. Also grateful for Daisy’s -I think it was the one I saw when I first met you here
Grateful for RZ’s post - all is as it should be. It’s like my husband often says “It is what it is” and “what will be will be”
Grateful to see Rose and Deserto
Deserto, nice to hear the lady friend has been promoted to girlfriend. Also, I always laugh reading your posts because you remind me of Jimmy on Seinfeld. Lol
Hopefully Courage will be back soon

Grateful to finally spend time again on the morning thread. Missed last couple of days
Grateful to be feeling back into a routine, at least somewhat
Grateful to find an online Dementia support group and connect with a newer friend who’s mom has Dementia which I only recently found out about. Her mom is in the severe stage
Grateful for the nice looking man who flirted with me in the aisle at the grocery store last night. It’s been a while since someone flirted with me
Grateful for sleep. The last couple of weeks, I have slept well on a regular basis. There was only one or two nights waking at 3 am, which I think was due to excessive worry/stress from the day before events. I am thinking this new sleep pattern really could be from the blue light glasses. I found some online articles on the subject and read studies show faster falling asleep (check), staying asleep through the night (check) and better rested feeling next day (check).
Grateful SR offers product placement and infomercials in addition to friendship and support
Grateful the reason sonny boys school laptop isn’t working is not because of a tantrum. It’s just not working because of some technical problem and it will get sort d out
Grateful to be watching Lost In Space. Such good messages about not giving up, getting through hard things, finding solutions. Also grateful for perspective since things are relatively good here on planet Earth, at least in ,y corner
Grateful for each of you

As I was saying...
Fearless - The occasional bird will still hit the windows even with decals, but it's been a huge help.
I'm glad you found the Dementia support group - I hope it eases your mind a bit.
Grateful to be on my way out the door for the first time in a couple days.
Grateful for the sun shining, even though watching the news kind of took the wind out of my sails.
Grateful for the compassion being shown for Australia & all the help offered. There's been some rain, so I'm grateful for that.
Grateful for my husband's patience as he sits in car waiting for me.
Grateful for YOU every single day.
