Congratulations FBL, you're an inspiration.

(( Numblady)) you're a good person and I have no doubts about that.

Fearless, we call g.son no. 1 Sheldon, lol.

Grateful to be up extra early this morning ( 05.00) sober, hangover free and wide awake.
Grateful for this peaceful time to myself to sit and reflect and post here.
Grateful to look out of the window in this early morning light and see all the greenery and hear the birds singing away.
Grateful to have my 4 yr old step g.daughter sleeping over for another night, her little brother has tonsillitis so we're helping out.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful to put a chicken in the slow cooker.
Grateful for all my have's.
Grateful Least has some relief.
Grateful to also be in the sparkling water brigade.
Grateful Hevyn has got sunshine at last, it's been a long wait.
Grateful to be here with you all. xx

Grateful for all the kindness expressed to me on my sober Birthday.

Grateful for those that came before to light my path. Grateful for those just starting their journey. We have so much to learn together.

Grateful for another day sober.

Fearless - I love the Friday Flowers idea.
Daisy - Grateful for all my haves, too - including everyone here.
Zip - How did we ever justify it?
Grateful for a simply gorgeous day.
Grateful for the birds, but need to go on a birdseed run. Hungry little devils.
Grateful for contentment & a clear head.

Sheldon. That really made me laugh, Daisy! Wow, you were up early
Zip, I’m wondering how I justified that too? I guess because the OJ is healthy. It’s like how the veggies -iceberg lettuce and tomatoes- on a fast food cheeseburger are healthy? Or, wine in moderation is good for the heart. But how did I convince myself a bottle a day was moderate?
Grateful for everyone here who loves animals

Grateful when my husband offered me a swig of his special beer last night, there was not even a fleeting temptation. Even after everything is mostly in the open now about my past alcoholism, not sure why he occasionally still does this. I just said “ew, beer makes me bloated. You do you.”
Grateful for an early short and slow run before the heat kicks in. Grateful that the road around the commercial building below is now completely blocked to pedestrians or trespassers so I can’t even try to sneak in a short cut. I must push myself and run up and down the steep hill
Grateful for all the thoughts and memories, both good and bad on my run. I noticed weeds with beautiful flowers, which made me think about how there is beauty on the other side of uglyness and how things are always evolving. The small weeds had no flowers. But the ones that grew tall started to develop flowers.
Grateful to listen to an old running playlist I had forgotten about. It was one I put together for a marathon long ago. Eye of the Tiger, Boston More than a Feelimg, The Warrior. That last one incidentally also gave flash backs of my first concert, which was Heart, and first time drinking too many screw drivers and profuse vomiting. Yuck.
Grateful I don’t drink anymore and have no desire to. Grateful to be part of the recovery community, even if in a small way
Grateful to remember my menopause diet, mindfulness, and my general well being in addition to sobriety. It’s all a way of life for me.
Grateful for all of you

Grateful to see JulietUK here.
Grateful to be back after missing a day here in the chaos of out of town guests!
Grateful I’m not the only one who’s a bit too sensitive and defensive and still working on it, Hev & Fearless.
Grateful for Fearless’ rumination on weeds v. Flowers. I think quite a bit about what things would look like if we just let them go, how strong and adaptable nature is—and beautiful, even or especially the weeds in their tenacity, adaptability and suitability for wherever they are. Except invasives. Some of them scare the bajeezus out of me.
Grateful to run into some long-ago friends from law school days and not feel less-than. It’s hard to explain but I just know that’s not how I would have felt had I been drinking.
Grateful to see my son’s camp do a performance yesterday as the culmination of their week of learning.
Grateful for a bit of rain.
Grateful to be here and for each off you.

Ha. Grateful the site came back up after it timed out and that I didn’t lose my post. In fact it let me post it twice so I’m writing this instead of just repeating the same post as above.

Numblady, when I first came to the site this morning, I got an error message and couldn’t log in. . This made me think about how much I love this group and what would I do without you all! Thank goodness that was short lived!
Grateful that even though I didn’t sleep well, it’s not because of drinking and waking up at 1 am with a pounding heart
Grateful that I know I will get through this day with one more cup of coffee!
Grateful sonny boy is going to a camp he looks forward to every Summer
Grateful to be working from home today and that my meeting with another one of my challenging clients is going to be via conference call so they won’t be able to see the funny faces I make when I get annoyed
Grateful to have a doctor check up this afternoon
Grateful for everyone here and being on this sober path together
