Thank you for that sharing that Fearless. I totally understand . My wayward son was my biggest trigger to drink home alone. At the time I drank because I thought it was the only way I could relax and shut all the pain out. Little did I realise that I was causing the biggest pain of all. So grateful I don't have to go back to that dark place
ever again.

Grateful for another sober Friday.
Grateful for the sunshine today.
Grateful to be looking after myself.
Grateful to be in the hairdressers having my roots coloured and a trim
Grateful my mum has gone on a day trip with her friends.
Grateful to be asked to help on a school outing next week. We're going to a Mosque and learning about different religious cultures. I'm looking forward to it.
Grateful to be here with you all.
Grateful for your kindness, understanding and support. Xx

Grateful that my head doesn’t hurt as bad as yesterday (even though it still hurts).
Grateful to be embarking on a trip to my home state with the kids tomorrow.
Grateful for all that gets shared here. Fearless, I can completely relate to the wine pounding in the isolation and de-stressing from your son. And Daisy too with your wayward son.
Grateful to be really ok DNF’ing books (not finishing)
Grateful for all of you.

I am grateful to awaken, feeling well rested and ready to go. So much to do, so little time!

Wishing all a wonderful and peaceful weekend.

Aly - sending love out to you.
Fearless & Daisy - So true - in trying to numb ourselves against the pain & worry, we add more misery on top of what's already happening.
Grateful I finally understood how I was sabotaging myself - just wish it hadn't taken so many years.
Grateful for a bright & beautiful summer day.
Grateful for the determination to de-clutter, purge, & toss. (I keep doing it, but more stuff appears in it's place )
Grateful for all of US.

So grateful for all of you and your kind words. Grateful I did have my epidural yesterday. I slept all day yesterday and stayed in bed for a long time today. Grateful I can do that right now. They say it takes a little while to kick in.
Grateful I can feel some pain relief. The surgeon said he could help me with my T6 too. I just have to get and MRI, etc.
Grateful for all of my beautiful friends here. The Grats are my go to! ♥♥♥

So awesome, WO!
Good to see you in Good spirits, Ardy!
Aly, I’m Glad you are ok after your epidural. I don’t know much about this sort of thing, except that it’s some sort of procedure with a BIG needle. Oh wait, sorry for my ignorance but is it the same thing as what they give pregnant women in child birth? Now I feel silly. Of course it is. I remember that big needle. They told me not to move right at the time I needed to vomit 🤮. Anyway, I’m glad you got some good sleep and rest, Aly, and hope you continue to have pain relief!

It must be different from the ones they give pregnant women. Yes, 4 or 5 big needles! Grateful I don't get freaked out by needles!

I hope your headache has gone now Numblady and thank you for your kind words.
Hevyn, I wish it hadn't taken so long to see the light too, but looking on the positive side, we are luckier than many, we found S,R, each other and we are on the right track now.
Aly, I'm glad your Epidural went well. Another step closer to those elephants. xxx

Grateful to be up early, sober and present.
Grateful the sun is shining, the birds are singing and I'm feeling at peace with myself.
Grateful that my live in g,son's Grandad took him to the cinema last night to see 'Toy Story 4.'
Grateful that that he stayed here last night.
Grateful my granddaughter asked me to go on her school outing with her next week. They are learning about different religious cultures and visiting a mosque. I'm looking forward to it.
Grateful to learn something new every day.
Grateful for us.

This popped up this morning and I'd like to share it, it's very apt for anyone wondering where to start with self care.

SELF CARE
Start by doing one 1 press up.
Start by drinking 1 glass of water.
Start by paying 1 debt.
Start by reading 1 page.
Start by making 1 sale.
Start by deleting 1 old contact.
Start by walking 1 lap.
Start by attending 1 event.
Start by reading 1 paragraph.
Start today. Repeat tomorrow.
