Grateful to be sober and present again this morning.
Grateful to do the school run and the mum run safely.
Grateful to squeeze in a bit of grocery shopping and grateful to put it away as it's my least favourite task.
Grateful for a sense of humour and grateful my h'dresser has one too. I went to the hairdresser's this morning, plonked myself down on the sofa with a magazine and a coffee to be gently informed that my appointment is next Friday, not today, oops. It gave the other customer's a laugh anyway.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful it's not raining today, it's not exactly sunny either but at least it's dry.
Grateful to watch the atics of my little Lulu cat, she's a crazy cat but I wasn't grateful yesterday when she brought me a dead sparrow home.
Grateful for a text from the vets saying its time to collect the parasite treatment.
Grateful to be able to nip back to school with live in g.son's guitar, he forgot it this morn.
Grateful Anaya's family members are behaving, grateful my wayward son is too, at the moment. It's probably the calm before the storm but right now I'll make the most of the calm.
Grateful for Numblady's insurance adjuster, he did well.
Grateful Aly is getting her epidural next week, good news Aly, I'm delighted and I pray it gives you the relief you need and deserve.
Grateful also that S/R is open 24/7, thanks Hevyn for that reminder.
Grateful for each and every one of the Grat Pack gang. xx

Numblady, on the day before post, I’m also glad for your insurance adjuster and what a selfless thing to do with the money for your kiddos!
Grateful for you guys for talking about your cats and vets because I gotta get mine in for their annual check ups.
Grateful to be in the moment
Grateful to remember and cringe at the thought of waking up with a bad hangover (or still drunk) and how it resulted in an entirely wasted day trying to recover and then drinking again. It’s been almost 2-1/2 years but I never want to forget
Grateful that sonny boy is having a friend sleep over tonight. My husband and I will sit outside on the higgeldy piggeldy patio we have and enjoy each other’s company
Grateful for each of you and our sober journey together!

Grateful for our first sunny weekend in ages.
Grateful MrH sold a bunch of stuff he never uses.
Grateful I can almost fasten my jeans without a struggle. Almost.
Grateful to be here, relatively unscathed, after risking my life a few times.
Grateful for the readers of this post. Have a lovely weekend.

Good for you, Hev! I gained 10 after my surgery, after a big loss, and I've been fighting with it for months!!! My thoughts are with you.
Grateful to be able to share and support each other.

FBL!! THAT IS AWESOME! In awe of the 3650 sunrises and sunsets you’ve seen as a sober person. Inspiring to say the least.
Daisy, grateful your post made me remember I hadn’t put in my grocery order and now I’ve got the first time slot for pick up thanks to the reminder.
Grateful for the curbside grocery ordering. Apparently people who shop in the store are not such a fan of it but for a busy mom with 2 kids in tow it is a godsend!
Grateful some very good old friends are coming to stay with us for just one night and we will have over another 2 couples and cook out. At least one of the couples does not drink at all (they still smoke pot which is another story) so I’ll have company in the sparkling water brigade.
Grateful for pictures my daughter has taken over the years. As the family photographer there aren’t that many photos of me (I mean, it’s still gobs compared to even 20 years ago I’m sure) so I’m thankful just that there are photos, period. But more than that just grateful to think of the world through that perspective, literally looking up to the adults...and I feel, well, proud. Like I’m not the best parent but I’m at least up to the task, and I don’t feel ashamed that impressionable people are looking up to me for their guidance. Again, let me be clear that I still feel like a failure all the time as a parent. But I also feel like I’m a decent human doing her best — and there is no way I would have this clarity of thought without sobriety.
Grateful for ice cream and the little sundae bar I’m planning to set up tonight.
Grateful for ice and freezers.
Grateful load at work is holding steady at a manageable level.
Grateful for all of you and your grats.

Numblady - 'A decent human doing her best' - love it.
FBL - So proud of you!! Congratulations.
Grateful for each & every post here - it all matters.
Grateful for a gorgeous sunny day and no wet stuff in the forecast.
Grateful for the realization that I'm too sensitive & & defensive at times.
Grateful to be able to change my perspective whenever I want.
Grateful for a country ride today.
Love going out to all.

FBL, that’s amazing! Congrats. I want to be there one day (and plan to)
Thanks, Daisy. We did have a wonderful time and also had a chance to catch up on a Netflix series
Hev, I’m right there with you about the defensive sensitive stuff. Grateful that I am much less so, now that I’ve been sober for a while. I think having done some therapy and just being over 50 has helped too. But I do catch myself still

Grateful for Friday Flowers. In addition to making the bed every day, buying myself fresh flowers for the dining room table every Friday, is something I’ve been doing since early sobriety. Seems so small, but it is part of my self care/self compassion routine .
Grateful to be learning a lot working with a new and growing client
Grateful for a good run this morning
Grateful to help out one of my closest friends with a sever autistic child and have her other son over for sleep over last night. Grateful to listen to the awkward but sweet silly conversation between my son and her son who are good friends. They are both quirky and I think some day they may be a lot like the Big Bang Theory boys
Grateful to find some really cute and reasonably priced dresses online. I need something for a wedding in a couple months
Grateful to decide not to go to karate this morning and for my husband taking sonny boy. I am enjoying sitting outside admiring all the plants in bloom. The birds of paradise, roses and naked ladies look so pretty (of course, naked ladies always do. Lol. I dont remember the real plant name)
Grateful to have time this weekend to read, paint, and bake
Grateful for each of you so much every day!
