Grateful for chillin', watching TV this afternoon, Criminal Minds (I get hooked on it once in a while and then won't watch for a while) and grateful Inspector Morse is on later tonight. It is kind of helping this uncomfortable anxiety I'm dealing with this afternoon. Grateful I've started walking 2-3 miles a day again. Grateful to volunteer in the beautiful garden at church, over 300 roses and tons of beautiful flora and fauna, plus it's good exersize, harder than I thought it would be. Grateful we will hopefully get rain this weekend.
Grateful for my sobriety and that I found a bottle of vodka I must have hidden. For a second I thought about drinking. Then I put it in a garbage bag and threw it in a dumpster. I am actually really proud of myself because I did have that relapse a while back. Grateful I just really don't want to drink right now. Grateful my sobriety feels so good, finally!

That I'm motivated to travel and work out.
For my houseguests soft murmurs and deep breaths during her post movie couch snooze. For the time we got to hang out and for the solid exchanges, compassion, and support in our friendship dynamic. Will be sad to say goodbye.
For handling a lot of recent hardships in good stride and with a mindful outlook. I'm being blindsided by some tough blows, but this too shall pass. I may have lost my grip lately, but I catch myself half laughing at them "oh of course this happened this way
". No worries.
For realizing some things aren't happening TO me for any reason , some things are just happening.

Grateful to call it quits early tonight, I've been a bit weary and grumpy all day, an early night will be just the thing.
Grateful for the self care I follow these days -- sleep when I need it, a mask once a week, plenty of moisturiser. Little things make a big difference.

Grateful to watch "True Detective" at 9 pm on HBO On Sunday and "Girls" at 10 pm on HBO on Sunday. How romantic both shows are!

Grateful a friend at work got happily engaged.
Grateful my bff supported me all day via text.
Grateful to get my Dad on the phone tonight.
Grateful to work late and grateful my sister goes to bed early because she is here again and so I only had to spend an hour and a half with her. I know that sounds awful but I need some peace and quiet right now.
Grateful to wish my late Mom a Happy Birthday today, and that today I wore her wedding rings to feel closer to her.
Grateful that love survives.
Grateful my bff supported me all day via text.
