Alysheba ~ I hope you are getting a good night's sleep with that headache.
Uncle holmes ~ I always smile when I read 'poophead', I feel like I know him.
Grateful to go off to bed early tonight as I have a mild headache.
Grateful that sobriety means I didn't exacerbate the headache.
Grateful that I will very likely wake well and energetic in the morning.

Thank you Marcher. Unfortunately I'm still up with a banging head at 2:20am here.
One thing I am grateful for regarding this headache, it is not due to booze, hangover, or anything of that nature.
Hopefully I'll get some sleep eventually. I need to get up kind of early and decide what option I'm taking in the morning. My doctor is supposed to call me, but who knows when that will happen?
So many thanks for everyone's well wishes! I don't feel quite so alone in the middle of the night wide awake and not feeling so well. This site is so awesome.

tTo Aly,
Maybe The Minute Clinic at CVS Pharmacy could help?? Just a thought that you may have already considered and they took my insurance when I was there too....... Good luck!!

Today I am grateful for the wonderful, caring people on this thread. Thank you for all the beautiful messages and well wishes. I am truly touched. Still struggling with the pain. My doctor never called me back and I can't get anyone in my family to take me to the ER. They don't think I'm really as sick as I am. Before I start feeling sorry for myself , I am grateful for my SR family and this too shall pass, hopefully sooner rather than later LOL . I think I'm a little afraid to go to the ER because of the drugs they'd give me. So, God willing, it will work itself out. Trying to keep my sense of humor and remember Rule 62.
Have a great, sober Friday. I am grateful for another day of sobriety too. See, I didn't feel grateful when I started and now I do! Aly xxoo

Alysheba, I feel so bad that you're suffering with these migraine headaches. I hope and pray you get well soon. As a matter of fact I just said a prayer for you.
Grateful I have the weekend off.
Grateful to help pick up a younger guy I was working with when he was suffering from low morale and depression. I talked about gratitude and reminded him on basic things that he has, such as his health and a job. It seemed to help as he forgot about those things.

(((ALY))) I'm getting worried for you. Can you take a cab to get to an ER or urgent care center? If there is not a reduction in the headache then you need to seek medical assistance. Set aside your fear about pain meds. You can tell them why you don't want them. You are not the first person to seek help with pain who doesn't want pain meds, and this isn't something new to them. Plenty of people feel that way but they still get themselves checked out. Let us know how you are.
Grateful to take a step back and think about some things, and detach.

Grateful I had a good day today. One of the best since I moved.
Grateful I went to an Amish market, an auction, got my permanent car tags, joined the local YMCA, went for a long dogwalk, and met my niece for dinner. All these things within five minutes of me. Gotta love a small town.
Grateful I also visited the neighborhood of my early years today. Stood right in front of our old house.
Grateful to have some good conversation with my former husband today.
Grateful the past cannot hurt me, anymore.

Grateful to give my dad a call yesterday and have a nice father/son talk. I asked him about prostate problems history in our family. Turns out prostate problems, and prostate cancer runs on his side. His dad (my grandpa) his brother (my uncle) and my other uncle all had prostate cancer. I did not know this.
However he told me not to worry. His PSA levels were far more than mine but it wasn't prostate cancer. It was from enlarged prostate according to him and he only got it cleaned out instead of taken out. Once a man has prostate removed, a man can no longer perform. But my main concern is just making sure my jump in PSA levels isn't from cancer.
Grateful my dad gave me advice on suggestions for living conditions after I sell my house.. After my son graduates from high school this Spring, we're going to have to sell our house. We can no longer afford property taxes. We're in a lot of debt. The good news is I own my own home.
The advice he gave me in my situation was after I sell my home I should rent a home to live in instead of getting a mortgage and owning a home. When you rent, no home owners insurance, no property taxes, no maintenance/repairs of a home to worry about. After our talk I researched "owning a home vs renting a home." I think renting a home in my situation would be the way to go. Plus I need cash upfront to help my son pay for college. After selling the home we could pay off our home equity loan, credit card debt, and have a surplus without worrying about getting a loan for a mortgage if we rent a home to live in.
Grateful my anxiety level decreased twofold after talking with my dad about these issues.
