Grateful to dream big....of hitting tonight's (Wed) Powerball lottery drawing, which has a jackpot of 400 million. I'm in a lottery pool at work. Each person in the pool pitches in $10. We have 120 tickets between 24 people for tonights drawing. A powerball is $2.

Grateful to dream that if we do hit it tonight I plan on retiring or if I choose to work working where and when I want to work. Still stay in my current house. New wood floors in the whole house. Investing the money wisely so that I'd never go broke. Two nice vacations a year. Helping family members and close friends get out of debt. Give some to charity....The list goes on.

Grateful that even though the chances of hitting tonight's powerball are 1 in 175 million.....It's still ok to dream.

Grateful to get ready soon for my weekly AA meeting and always remember that my sobriety comes first......Even if I hit the lottery.

Grateful I got in touch with a woman about some part time work to get me through until I hear about some news I've been waiting for. I'm going to meet she and her husband on Sunday. Hope it goes well.

Grateful I actually had a somewhat meaningful talk with my mom yesterday that was respectful, generous, and I think she is starting to see things in a different light too.

Grateful to get home safely. Driving through intense fog at night on the highway was kinda scary.

Grateful for my dogs little head in the kitchen window when I pulled up. Like he was already waiting!

Grateful to decompress with the Olympics on TV instead of a drink.

I have a Powerball ticket too, Uncle Holmes! Like you I have a list of people to benefit from my winnings...my Sponsor who knows me better than I do...my Granddaughters (5): paying their college ahead of time...pay off the Homes of my children and my brother...buy a home for my Sister..many other family and friends and a (((huge))) donation to Alcoholics Anonymous Central Office.

One more thing: a tuneup on the bus before embarking on that trip to Rio...and hats of all kinds...so Venus you can expect us shortly so keep the light on....LOl

Grateful that poophead (my cat) is acting like a little cutie patootie. He's 10 years old and he's been acting like a playful little kitten lately.

You mean Spot? teehee. My Remy is about 8 and even though he's had a rough life and last year was one of the worst, lately he has been playing with the "kittens" he thinks I got for him (the kittens being about 5 and 3 years old themselves). I'm grateful, too, that Remy is feeling better.

And grateful for taking an "in-home retreat." I've had my phone off most of the last 36 hours, been on the 'puter mostly to watch videos, and don't plan to rejoin the "real" world until at least Saturday.

Grateful for this thread and all of your posts.

Grateful I am trying to abstain from going to the hospital for this 4 day migraine. The meds are usually strong opiates in one form or another and I'm trying to stay away if I possibly can. I may have to break down if it doesn't let up as I am starting to have other problematic symptoms. But for now, I'll hope for the best.

I too am grateful for my 14 y.o., deaf, Spaniel-mix, pound puppy and the beautiful abandoned cat that we feed and have a little place for on the porch. He is long haired, white, with a gray tail and a gray splotch on his head. He has a little house with clean towels, water, and all the dry food he can eat and he gets his canned food in the morning. Wish we could let him in more often but out little Spaniel-mix girl gets almost hysterical when he comes in. Sometimes we tie her up and let him in but he gets a bit antsy after a while. I love them and am very grateful esp when I don't feel well.

Have a great night everyone, the beautiful bedtime gratefuls!

When I first started posting grats, I often couldn't think of anything to say.
It was a dark time but I always could say I was thankful for my dog too!
Good news is that now I have to edit my grat list down!

Grateful to be reminded of how much sobriety has provided for me. So much to be grateful for.
