I am grateful being smoke/nicotine free for 12 days.

I am grateful I committed to helping an AA member with moving.

I am grateful to you all SR members....

I'm tired ... have a great night and day.

Grateful I got to see the Glen Miller Orchestra tonight. It was unbelievable.

Grateful I dreampt about my Mother last night. In the dream we all were saying how we missed her and then I turned and she was right behind me as a spirit. She said she was with us always.

Grateful I know she was with us tonight. even as my father cried at some songs they had danced to routinely.

Grateful my brother planned the evening and took me and my Dad as a treat. Grateful to live so close to both of them now.

Grateful to know I made the right decision with this move, and grateful that means I can trust my intuition about more changes to come.

Oh it was Rusty! They were spot on. And the conductor was a true original who was having a lot of fun with it too. Afterwards my brother took my picture with him. Haha. They tour 48 weeks a year so when they come to CT you should go!
Grateful for good memories of the night before. Ok I better hop to the morning thread now!

The concert sounds fantastic, EQ!

The other day I was cherishing a memory of my Mom taking me to see Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops sometime around '75. What a great evening. I sure miss Mom.

Grateful for these good memories. Life has always been really good. The painful moments are fading away.

I am grateful to only take non-narcotic medication for aches and pains.

I am grateful I lived up to my promise to help a home group member move.

Don't mean to offend -- but I am really really grateful not to have dependent children.

I am grateful to all of the recovering mothers and fathers out there.

Grateful for heat, electricity, roof over head, water, computer/internet, food...

Everyone have a great night....and day.

Grateful that when I downloaded a movie tonight that I'd loved 25 years ago -Brazil- I could accept that I no longer felt anything for the film (like I did back then) and finally turned it off long before it was over.

Grateful I don't have to pretend to feel something I no longer feel....
And grateful I don't have to be back in my 20s again! Lol

Grateful to hang up more pictures, upstairs, and move some of that stuck chi up off the floor. It was weighing me down.

Grateful I got some super cool finds at my new Goodwill!

Grateful to know at the end of the day you all are here. My, what an incredible difference that makes!

Grateful for a backbreaking shift at my seasonal job. Although hard, grateful to be working and to be tired.

Grateful that I have gratitude. So easy to take for granted unless I practice it.

Grateful to tough it out at work and have been putting in 58 hours a week for extra overtime money.

Grateful to hang in there with my supervisor at work. He's been really stressing me out the past few weeks by smothering me and being extra hard on me to the point where I felt like I was being abused.

He was abusing his power. It caused me to be angry, have anxiety, and I felt like it was creating a pins and needles atmosphere and causing me to make more mistakes by him making me a nervous wreck.

Grateful to hang in there with my mother and practicing my program. She's probably in her last years and is sick. She finally called me after three weeks of us not speaking. She continues to try to put the guilt trip on me by saying I don't do enough for her.

I continue to remind her that I'm sad about our relationship eroding like this but at the same time there's nothing more I can do. She's the one choosing to do this, not me. And I told her that she's being robbed of a son in her last years all because she's letting my sister convince her to go against me. She got very angry when I said this because she knows it's true.

Grateful to practice acceptance in very difficult situations.

Thank you for this thoughtful and insightful post. It helped me kick start this morning.

I hope the stress and powers that be ease up.

Peace always.

To Uncle Holmes,

I totally understand your pain and stress. For me, each tough situation seems to come with other equally tough situations that made it even harder. I hope things get much better for you and just letting you know that I will pray that they do.

To EQ,

Yes, those super cool finds at the Goodwill (and Salvation Army) are a Godsend. My home is partly decorated in the great finds at these types of places. I find great joy in some of these purchases that save me money. It's like a child in a candy store and who doesn't love that feeling....and no calories!!

A little sad that I sold my dream telescope but it was collecting more dust than photons. I'm grateful for the business opportunities that the profit will put into action.
