Grateful to see Sam. Hi Sam!

Grateful I could give my sister a nice birthday day.
Grateful to go to a Mass said in my Mom's name and then to the cemetery with my sister.
And Grateful Mom's fear, pain and sadness are gone and she is free.

Grateful that I'm dealing with a very worrying situation without getting drunk,
which would never have helped anyway...it would have made everything way worse.
Grateful to know this.

Nite all,

Love V xx

Grateful to take the cotton out of my ears and listen.

Grateful to read these posts as a reminder to be grateful.

Grateful to get my head out of my azz and deal with problems the responsible way.

Grateful when I went to the post office Sat morning to pick up a letter from a notice from the court, and was shocked when it was our former dentist who was taking me to court for unpaid balances, even though I was making monthly payments, that I was calm without any anger or any thoughts of drinking and want to work out and deal with this in a responsible manner.

Grateful when I had to go to the bank Sat morning and withdrawal some of our last IRA fund to pay property taxes and other fixes around the house from the lightning surge from last week, that I didn't panic or complain and again have to deal with this in a responsible manner.

Grateful I have hope that we can hang in here where we live until at least my son graduates from his last year of high school this year. Then hopefully we can sell the house, move to a cheaper city with lower property taxes, and hopefully pay off all or most of our debts.

Grateful to go to a meeting this morning and share some of my problems and get some feedback from one of the members after the meeting. A problem shared is a problem cut in half.

Grateful to give my mom a visit and share what's going on in both our lives. And also pointing out to her that it's okay to listen and give suggestions but it's not her job to get directly involved in mine and other family members and her friends problems. She tends to do that and thinks she can just get right in there and fix everything when she can't and only makes matters worse when she doesn't stay out of things.

Grateful to have visited my bff today.
Grateful I remembered to bring a present I've had to give her daughter for sometime.
Grateful (since my dressy clothes are packed away in a pod stored who knows where) I was able to find a dress on sale that fits well today as I'm going to a wedding Saturday.
Grateful to cross two more things off my list.
Grateful to be busy with things that bring me meaning and gratification.

Grateful for being able to wait until I've talked to some other people before I talk to a couple of women I've not known how to deal with recently. I'm so glad I didn't say what I was actually thinking in either situation. And glad I know to talk to SANE people who can actually maybe help me.

Also grateful I'm taking Remy back to the vet tomorrow although I hate to do it because HE hates to go. He is just pitiful and I have tried so many things to help him and he just isn't bouncing back. Glad the vet asked me to bring him in and that I agreed to do so.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

P.S. The kayak camping trip rocked other than coming back to the campsite to find one of the attendees drunk when I had expressly said no alcohol. THat's one of the situations I referred to above. Anyway, I'm also grateful I did the trip;it was well worth the effort I spent organizing it.

Grateful for a mean boss as I need the push to make changes in my work. (After I have a home, that is! Lol)
Grateful I spoke to my Dad today and he sounds fairly well considering.
Grateful my vet can board my dogster this weekend so I can go to an out of town wedding.
Grateful I'm grouchy because it reminds me this too shall pass and to reign it in.
