I went to work today -- walked about 3/4 mile each way, stayed longer than I should have. Now I'm collapsed. Still no water in the shower.

The good part: the wee nuns who live two blocks from me have a full-flowering crapapple in front of their building.

Oh I see how you want to be. I go away for the weekend and it becomes the deserted island of Misfit drunks.

What I'm doing good for myself this week is starting a regimen of turmeric for inflammation and flaxseed tea for weight loss. My sprained knee still hurts so there's that to care for.

My sister who knows everything says turmeric really helps but you have to use a lot of it.

Today *might* be the day I get to take a real shower again.

Islanders: I have been occupied and a bit overwhelmed with things. Been offered a new job with lots more responsibility, no self-employment and benefits. But the salary is not too good, so I am negotiating. My contract buildings are wanting to keep me, but they are insane and probably more a problem than worth.
