I think it's funnier that over 7% of the people have IQ's lower than 60. Having an IQ of lower than 60 is like 1 in 100,000.

Regardless of IQ, I know which part of my anatomy I usually think with.

Interesting, bc I thought people that low were considered disabled, and probably incapable of posting coherently on this board. That being said, I believe the results are reliable, given that most alcoholics are inclined towards humility and honesty. Like they say, everything you read on the internet is true.

Heh. I checked that box. Tested at 60, 73 and 78. I felt my dishonesty was called for to balance out all you geniuses. Disabled, impaired and borderline are various terms used on intelligence scales in reference to persons like myself.

That's me and that's why I am one of the 8.

So far, it's 9 below normal and 108 above normal. Sounds like we have a lot of "Abby's" here:

I've been seeing this thread now for months and thought I should finally join in.

My IQ is 215.

Just kidding. It's pretty remarkable that over a third of the people on this site are above 140 or at genius level. Is this a recovery website or Mensa International? Very interesting thread.

Aside from some noise, looks like both. It would appear over-thinking leads to over-drinking.

Mine was 116/67 yesterday. I'm guessing I should use the higher number?

Here's an (interesting?) way to view this data that just occurred to me. It's pretty clear to me, from some of the posts above, that the bunch down at the bottom, with one or two exceptions perhaps, are protest votes. Let's say, just for the heck of it, we subtract the same number of protest votes from the top range. What's left? Isn't it, more or less, a bell curve highly skewed towards the high end? Isn't that what many of us expected, more or less? Interesting? You decide.

God bless your enthusiasm D - but I think you're reaching to try and draw any real scientific conclusions here.

I reckon the 'protest vote' quotient was pretty high here...

Sounds like another (mild) protest to me D. Perhaps you're right though, maybe the high end should be adjusted downward more.

Can't help it, reaching feels like good exercise.

Why is this important to you? Is it validation that you are special? Can you not see the inflated ego in this post? It's as if you are searching for validation of the disease...the Phoenix rising. It's a manifestation of the addiction just in another form.

Dsober you don't need any of this. You are the beggar on the box filled with gold in Eckhart Tolles parable. Just open the box. You are fooling yourself with all this nonsense. You have what you are looking for and what you need already. Your spinning Worlds, Coexist and these silly posts are just distractions keeping you from the real gold inside you.

Why are you trying so hard to put me in a position of defending myself brother? I don't want to. I see nothing wrong with asking, searching, reaching... for the stars. That's how I found God. Gold doesn't interest me so much. As I've noted here before, I found God there instead, inside me.

Btw, the tattoo I've been seriously thinking about getting (it will be my first) is a triangle with a phoenix rising in the middle; I feel it's quite appropriate and I want something more permanent than the triangle ring I currently wear every day.
