Alcohol is the only way for me.

Yes I would like to stop today. I don't remember my body shaking lite this before. I don't think I will be leaving my room today. I have heard people say that alcoholism contuses to progress even when we stop drinking. I didn't know they meant it literally. In my case that appears to be the true. Well it is 11:30 and I still haven't had drink. It's a new record for me. Think I'll shoot for noon.
If it gets too bad physically, get some help.
Just focus on today, one hour or minute at a time if need be.
Try to keep your mind occupied (happy thoughts ) - internet, movies, music, talking to your friends, family, other AA members - whatever helps. No "morbid reflection".
This too shall pass, my friend.

Thanks for at least checking in Larry. Yes, there are people here who care. Thank God for that, we all need support in recovery. Please keep checking in and let us know how you're doing.
Hey Dean, just checking in to see how you're doing. Not so good I guess. I don't think I'd want to be in your shoes right now. If there is one thing I absolutely don't want again, it's those awful shakes from the alcohol. Used to annoy me to no end!! Hope you're feeling better soon and some or all of this brings some clarity. :ghug

Not sure what happened to my post. I am afraid I won't have a job after last night.
I will do what I would advise others to do. If I have time I will take up some offers you guys have given me. I have to fight the urge to isolate and I just have to go through these withdrawals.
The first thing I would advise a person to do is pray. That I will be doing, all night.

If you are done, lets move forward to your New Life. What's done is done; let's find the good in this journey. Those drinks taken, never have to be drank again. Lift your head and get on with living now Larry. I am here for you if you are willing.
