It is hard not to buy more fabric...I get all these emails from quilting & fabric shops that keep showing me "What's New"...

There are 2 words that I should never have had in my vocabulary:
NEW and FREE

Alpine sending healing vibes and so glad you're feeling better.
Kind of an early riser today.
I have to go to the library today no matter how I feel. My mom was saying something about not having anything to read. I feel badly. I think it opens around 10 ish so I'll go down a little later.
I think it's going to be a hot one. It's only 8 and it is boiling out! I wish the air would go on. I'm sure it will.
Have a wonderful, sober weekend.
SG, are you watching any of the pre season games. I've been watching a little bit here and there. I'm so weirded out by these conference changes that it makes me feel kind of confused. Even though you explained it perfectly. I guess the truism that every thing changes is true.
Have a wonderful day all. I'm so hot I have to get off!

CR......Asia in a Porsche...that has a nice ring to it

Godawful leg cramps last night after working a concert, so I'm sipping my pickle juice and guzzling ice water this morning.

Hi Earleys

Was up early, and went back to sleep. Up again at noonish, feeling rested. In the mood for a self-soothing mini vacation. Maybe pamper my inner child with some hobby play time, cook something tasty and savory, look for a good movie to rent, and likewise self-love activities.

Every morning my cereal-eating supervisor has a sharp eye on me as I eat a bowl. He offers plenty of vocal guidance and instruction as He sits at my side. Then he does a quality control of a few sips of the milk. After that, he is done, off to jot down a report.

Astro, I hope your legs are feeling better

Chloe, I have a fair amount of fabric but when I see sales I get more even if I don't have a plan for it. The people there are great, they have given me empty bolts so I can use them for larger amounts. I also have a few long tubes from the fabric store that I use to layer my quilts, I find it is easier that way to avoid wrinkles.

Sounds like a very cool quilt Chloe….and good for snuggling during those cool mornings with all the kitties!

I need to get my butt in gear for getting ready to move…..I thought I’d be relieved to be away from that job (which I am relieved; today was my last work day) but now instead of relaxing, the “oh crap now where do I start” anxiety has set in.

I know coffee doesn’t help anxiety but I’m having some anyway

Edit to add: Woah I missed a whole page of posts!

Me again! At least I got some decent sleep….time for coffee and no more paralysis by analysis….all I can do is a little bit at a time until I gain momentum!

Good to see you Alpine….hope you are feeling better and improving each day

Hope your legs bounce back Astro.

Good luck at the library Aly. I hope the heat isn't too oppressive this weekend.

Have a great day all!

I hit the snooze a couple of times. I work 5 days straight. I’m whining but still grateful. I don’t know how I did full time in the old days.

Thank you Alpine for the kind words. Gdaughter was born at the end of my cancer treatment so she’s like a special gift. The radiology nurses were abuzz over her. I’m glad you are doing well and getting your morning mojo back.

Astro how did the pickle juice work?

I’ve got to get more coffee going and motivate for the day.

Have a good day and take care everyone.

Legs are much better today and I don't think the event I'm working tonight will be too overly strenuous, and tomorrow I'm doing backstage security for the Foreigner concert so the weekend shouldn't be too brutal on the body! I like the idea of Zencat's mini vacation, I'm gonna relax as much as possible before I race off to work this evening.

Wife and I went to see Chicago last night at the venue I used to work at, it has a rotating stage. I've seen them a couple times when I'm working, always a good show and so many hits, it was a wonderful evening of music.

Astro,
How is your weather?
My boyfriend is in Phoenix for a trade show until tomorrow and I forgot to tell him to pack a row boat!

Alpine, all my thoughts and prayers are with you. Hope you're feeling better, dear one.
Astro, take care of yourself. Maybe you can rest with your legs propped up.
Val, thinking of you. Hope all is well.
Thinking of all of you. They only had 7 books for my mom. I wish I would have picked up more. They close Sun and Mon, so I'll have to go today. I have a few other things to do to. I always work myself up when I have multiple things to do. It makes me anxious and this darn unending heat. They say we may get a few drops of rain this weekend.
Have a wonderful day all. Wishing you all the best.

Good luck with the move Purps!

Chicago sounds good. Not sure if they have ever played in the UK.

Yes, good luck on the move Purps. I meant to say something. I wish you all the luck. As someone who has moved a hundred times, I so feel for you. A new beginning will be easy for you. You're such a fun, cool person. I'm sure you'll settle in fast in St. Louis. It's a nice part of the country. You'll get everything packed up and ready to go in time. Is your mom moving too? Just curious. I know you said you have family up there.
Wishing you all the best and hope things go smoothly. I can't believe how quickly it's come up!
