Early Riser Check-in Thread Part 25
Astro, funny, Foreigner and LoverBoy are going to be here very soon, maybe this week. Gosh, when I was in h.s. they played those songs all the time. I used to waitress at a nice country club in Chicago and one of the girls who waitressed there too was married to one of the Foreigner guys. Just an interesting FYI. I hope you have fun!
Purps good luck with all the packing and that kind of thing!

Thanks I’m trying to pace myself while still being productive a little at a time. I’ve been cleaning up and organizing my plants to distribute since I can’t take them with me. I emailed the local botanical gardens and they said they can use my milkweed plants for their butterfly garden. I’m glad to find a good home for them

Yeah I saw something online about “hurriquake” …are you near the storm too, Zen? One would be bad enough; I can’t imagine experiencing both at the same time….it would be like in the movies or something!
Woke up around the usual 4-ish, but managed to fall back to sleep until 5:30…. might not get much done today thanks to female issues (sorry, tmi) but at least it’s not a hangover!

Good morning.
Today is my short day thank goodness. Yesterday was the pits. Racking 150 pieces of clothing in half hour is still impossible. Sorting today will be nice.
Zen I would have tinkled my drawers. Are you in the hurricane rain zone? Stay safe.
I have many errands to run and laundry to be done after work. Busy day for me.
Off to make more coffee.
A good Monday to everyone.

gatorman, good luck at the doctor's and your upcoming procedure!
We didn't feel the earthquake up here, but we're kind of out of the zone of the storm. They call weird weather, earthquake weather because it feels weird when it happens, kind of just weird vibe out. Sometimes it feels like the earth is rolling and they usually don't last that long. I was in the Loma Prieta one in downtown S.F. when I first moved out here, That was a horrible experience, no way around it. San Francisco has never really been the same. I quit my job in the city and moved out of SF to the burbs. At least a building wasn't going to fall on me, but who knows.
Most of the time the shakers we get aren't all that bad, credenzas fall over, sometimes things break. Hope you came out unscathed, Zen. The weather is awfully strange here, it does kind of feel like earthquake weather. Humid. I hope we don't get another earthquake. We've had a few lately they haven't even reported on. The tornados in Chicago used to scare me more I think. Of course, we haven't had a really big one out here where I live. Thankfully. Just smaller ones. You kind of get used to it, I guess.
I am thinking of tackling my laundry today. Ugh. Maybe later. I have most of the day to do it as long as it doesn't get crowded in there.
Have a great Monday everyone. Thinking of all of you and wishing the best.

Chloe, its actually below 100 here and raining a bit, that's like an Arctic blast for us
Zen - I'm glad you're safe, that's some wild and adventurous weather ya got going in CA. Please continue to guard yourself against those storms.
Foreigner/Loverboy were fun and the music was great, I got to talk to the guys from Loverboy for a while, they all have a great sense of humor and put on a terrific show.
Dropped a steel weight on my foot while working backstage so my little toe on the left foot is broken, youch, and that should make it fun to hustle around the ball field tonight at work!

Hit the snooze but got up when I realized it’s my Friday. Fridays and coffee are great motivators.
Ouch Astro. That made me cringe. Poor piggy toe.
I forgot how swamped school supply shopping is at the last minute. Son and Gdaughter stopped by to grab them before open house at school. She did get her vaccine booster also so I can relax now. It was miserable hot yesterday so I didn’t finish errands but there is always tomorrow.
How is the move coming along Purps? Glad you found good homes for the plants.
Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Oh no Astro. I think I have broken three toes and that is never fun. Glad you enjoyed the show while working.
We have been very busy as everyone is ending summer vacation and restocking for the upcoming school year.
Aly, I hope the severe weather continues to miss the Bay Area.
Have a good day all!

Thanks all, my toe is doing well and the bruising is going down, I was able to get around with very little pain yesterday.
Chloe, that's interesting, but Tucson is a two hour drive!
No working tonight, just a visit to the dentist for a cleaning this afternoon, and I'm looking forward to a home cooked meal tonight.
