Early Risers Check-in Thread Pt 8
I hope I can stop a bad mood before it makes me crazy!
This has been a really tough winter. No "escape" from feeling confined and frustrated. Thankfully, I have SR.
Chloe, good luck with the ice storm. Hopefully, the power lines don't come down. At least in the east where I live, all power lines to homes are above ground, and ice and wind often brings the lines down. We are expecting a minor ice storm later in the day today. I know what you mean by feeling "confined" during winter. At least we are entering the latter stretch of winter, in my mind at least.
Now it is just a beautiful light snowy morning. Walk out in the darkness to the mailbox in about 8 inches of fresh snow. All is calm and super quiet. I was alone on the road looking around , feeling the snowflakes falling on me and I broke down in tears.
05:30 -- means that I slept in this morning because I am tired. Yesterday was busy but not so much that it should have wiped me out. There is toxic "ick" going around the workplace, maybe I'm fighting off some of it. My mood is nonetheless pretty good. Onward ...
Chloe, sorry to hear you're homebound for such a long, harsh winter. I would go nuts finding stuff to do. What better time to get to know one's HP at a deeper level...
During the govt shutdown, I spent more time with HP and my pets. Something always good comes from so-called bad events. In my case, I spent every morning with Ringo on my lap where had I been working, it would've only been Sat & Sun mornings.

04:00 - back on schedule this morning with waking up, I got plenty of good sleep if some odd REM time in there, too. My cats are totally in my face today, so I need to give them a bit of my time before work, I guess. It continues to be very cold here, with wind, but I will still be walking the short distance from/to home to get in that little sliver of exercise.
