TOD has One Year Clean!

Thanks everyone!
Yes Brandie! It seems the paperwork is what stacks up the most when we aren't in our right mind! Years ago I let things stack up so badly that when I finally got around to going thru it after my mind cleared up? I found a letter from the Sheriffs office saying there was a warrant going out for my arrest due to a hot check! Holy Chit! I called the office and was told if I come down TODAY I could avoid being arrested. (This was back in 2005)! I had a very clear mind, but my energy level hadn't gotten too good as of yet! But you can bet I found the energy to get ready and to get to the Sheriff's office to take care of that check. I kept telling myself: "If you can manage to get yourself ready in full blown w/d's to get pills? Then you can get this taken care of!" And that's how I got there!
We all have a closet full of stuff we'd like to forget! But some things never need to be forgotten as reminders to us NOT to use again! I've had multiple medical procedures that has had me back on the pills! I keep choosing to C/T off them though! I know how bad they are and hate it when I need to use them again. I love who I am much more than who I am using the pain meds! Persistence to stay clean is my goal!

Awwww Path2Recovery!
Don't be jealous! Work your sober time like I did! One day at a time! There's a woman on here that always signs off with; Still here still sober! I wanted that too soooo badly! When I reached several months in on being clean off pain meds! I started signing off with; Still here still opiate free! Damn it felt good and continues to feel good!
There were two times I made it to 8 months clean and then had a medical procedure done where I was back on them again! ARGH! This past year when I reached the 8 month mark I was sweating bullets! Please let me make it past 8 months! And I did! And there was also a tooth pulling around that time!
My mind was thinking! It's a case of:
What are you thinking? 
Get it together!

I didn't even check here yesterday so I missed these!
It's an uphill battle every day here! I'm over a year clean and living with a man I love deeply. Only his love is more for his pain meds now than it is for me! Sigh! My husband is in a nasty mood today! Didn't take long after waking up at 4:00 PM to figure that out!
However! I keep moving forward in my own positive things! I'm losing weight, getting things cleaned up and talking positive with people now! I don't live in bitterness! It's such a waste of time and energy!
Twofish! Smile my friend! Surround yourself with positive people! Find things to make yourself happy! The devil sits around itching to make us fail. Get some spray and spray that itch away!

So happy for you TOD!!! It has been a joy watching you post each day and I cant believe a year has gone by. I am a week away from 7 months and just can't believe it.

Thank you jmag! Today makes one year - two weeks clean for me!
Seven months on the horizon! That's exciting! I miss my daily login's and countdown! Kind of like losing an old friend! However the days keep coming and I keep counting my clean days!
Keep counting those clean days! A year will be here before you know it!

We r having a professional intervention this Thursday for the younger daughter...I'm so sick of this, but I will be thinking of your sobriety when we read our letters to her. I pray she will be sick of being sick and leave with the invention person or the other choice, give her 5 minutes to collect her stuff and leave my home. She is only 21. Send me strength TOD, I can't live with her addiction any longer. Thursday is R (recovery) day!
