I went back on the pages to re read some posts and was
having a good chuckle about the neck hairs..chicory you
are so funny..plucking leg hairs..now that did have to hurt
like heck! I am fair so plucking the mustache little growths
is tedious yet I now leave my glasses off too..lol..that way only
those that are looking are seeing..right!

I did watch a documentary about Lyme Disease..this is a very serious
illness.. it takes a person life down to almost unbearable..Lenina I sure
hope this isn't something you may have...

I love sand so poop away little fishes..

Hoping today all the dogs find health.

Also that Domino's tail is healing..

Have a good day..

had a visit from daughter this morning, she is doing well. her hubby, the one who drank a lot, has begun going to church, joined a mens bible study group, and has been doing very well. I am keeping them in my prayers. the kids are so happy, and they are all getting along well. He has also quit smoking, using a patch. so things are good there.

domino got a thumbs up from his vet,tho his splint has slipped a bit, i am a bit worried about that, but she wasn't concerned unless it slips more or comes off. so, goody, gotta think about that too. poor guy.

will send recipes, (((Lauren))) when i get home from work. gotta be there at 1pm, so i best be moving here!
love and hugs to all

Quick check in

Scanned all the posts and Dom recovering is good news, the orange cookies sound so yummy! Lyme disease is scary, we have ticks where I am, have to be very careful. I don't get to see snow often, it is so pretty when the flakes swirl down. Kind of a quiet feeling...
Take care and each of you have a safe, happy, day

Quick check in. Hazel is OK, growths are fatty tumors. I'm not feeling so well, and it's cold here in my 'cave.' Am watching Back to the Future for the zillionth time, under my blanket, Diet Coke at hand, reading about cookies and wishing I had the energy y'all do to bake. I have zero energy right now. Oh well, this too shall pass.

TPA, who went to bed with Garland songs, what a wonderful documentary

Glad to hear Dom is doing well. Hopefully, he won't find a way to slip out of his cast

Just got home. I'm hired, contingent upon the background check, but she'll have results today or tomorrow and all they asked me about was a felony, so I'm thinking positive. Did get my name badge

Stopped by the sr. center and helped out the last half of lunch, then ate...now I'm full. Dad got stuck in traffic, going down near Miami, for 3-1/2 hours. He's just now on his way back.

It's a gorgeous day, outside. I told Mots he's become a vampire - he only wants out in the dark!

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Tpa..sleep well..good news about Hazel..
You always sound so snugly when you watch a movie,
sorry about all the cookie talk..it does make a person
just want to eat and bake and eat some more.

Chicory..really good news about your daughter and family.
An early Christmas gift for everyone..I'm glad he is trying
to make his family happy and himself as well. Domino's news
sounds good..I take it the tail worry is over for him..now for
the leg..it has to keep you busy with him hiding and trying to
find him. He must feel more secure closed in a hiding spot.

Bloss..hows your girl doing? Will she need surgery at some point.

Amy...I know you will let us know when you get that call..it is
so close now to school end and a job..way to go!

Everyone..hello!

Hubby is having a nice rest today..he did make some strange kind
of Hungarian dinner for us, it is something new for me to taste
as he just had the recipe emailed from his cousin..it should be
interesting. It is rather like cabbage rolls without all the ingredients
being rolled in a cabbage leaf..it is layered rather in a cast iron pot and has been
brewing since morning. The smell is wonderful and the whole house is
like Christmas day...it is a tradition to have cabbage rolls Christmas day.

It has been snowing those large fluffy flakes all morning so we went off
to the leash park as I was trying to get a picture of how the snow clings
on to branches..sometimes it doesn't seem real as it is soft and beautiful.

I was clicking away and Miley was smelling her little heart out and didn't
even notice the deer just a short way from us. I didn't want to alert her
so managed to get a few pictures of him. At first I thought they placed
a statue in the garden walk as it was so still. So anyhow when she noticed
she started jumping in the air to see him. He just turned around and sauntered
off..

Here he is:

(((tpa))) so glad to hear that they are fatty tumors. sleep well, and feel better tomorrow. maybe some fudge , easy and so good.

(((bloss))) thank you for the well wishes about Dom. He doesnt hide much, just occasionally tries to find a cranny. he mostly lays on a nice soft hassock, and seems to be eating better each day. hope your girl is doing well and that her sight remains intact. although she will be alright, I know.
it would be nice to watch snow on a live cam, wouldn't it? somewhere dreamy....

Yes, and I am freaking out . It's on Monday. Nothing will ever be able to prepare me for this. Like the idiot he is, he didn't take a plea bargain. God, I fxcking hate him. Though it may not be approved of here really, I saw my doctor and got a small prescription for some Xanax to take that day to (hopefully) ward off any panicky feelings I may have and keep flashbacks at bay. I don't have much confidence in it... My therapist and I worked on a lot of stuff, but I still don't feel ready. I think my lawyer is competent so I'm not too worried about that, I'm more afraid of having to speak in front of everyone about what happened.

Ken and Sue will be there. I imagine my mom will be there, although maybe not because I have a restraining order against her. I don't know how that kind of thing works... Ugh .

((((chicory))) Its always amuses me when folks start to lose their minds just because some big wig is coming. I do my work the same way all the time. even if the Pope was coming! LOL I am sure you do an excellent job at all times so you dont get caught up in the insanity, OK? I'm sure your work is perfect and beautiful.

((((Lauren)))) Nice pic! Looks like it should be a calender.

((((Amy!!!)))). Whoo wooo! Congrats!!

((((JayBird))) Is your mom being called by the court? seems to me she has to adhere to the conditions of the RO. Ask your lawyer, see about making plans to see her escorted off if need be. I would talk to the DA if you are fearful. Nothing to be ashamed there. You were terrorized. Plain and simple. And just the fact!

OK, I'm just having a fun evening of laundry and deeper house cleaning. I seem to be perking up!

Much love from Lenina

Here is a link for ya'll to enjoy. The sounds this owl makes are almost just like our Molly sounds like. It's really cool. And the story about it is too.

(((Jay))) Ask your lawyer to run through what you can expect. As for telling the story you will be asked specific questions.....stand tall and tell your truth....it will be healing. As for any help you need....do what you need to to take care of yourself; no need to apologize!

What time on Monday (and what time zone are you in?) I will set aside your court time for a positive meditation time.....you can know that there will be healing, positive and loving thoughts being sent out for you the entire time you are in court. You and I are on the same page with religion....this is just positive energy for all who need it.

He is an idiot for not taking the plea.....but then it shouldn't be surprising that an entitled, narcissistic, violent bully would think he was above it all. Not going to go well for him.....just sorry you have to be involved and even see him again.

As for anyone else there you don't want to see....just pre arrange where Ken and Sue are going to be so all you need to do is look at them, your lawyer and the judge. Block everyone else out.

Sorry to all about the advice.....I just care.....and I trust that you have a lot of care and support there with you! Take a pic of Taz....and Moose and Sasha!!

Jay: Lordy! The day of court got here quicker than we all wanted. Didn't it? But listen up! This is YOUR day. Your day to set the record straight! I'm sure Dick's side will have all sorts of witnesses to testify how good of a man Dick is and this is all your fault. That's just what happens in these court rooms. But the nice thing is. You already have people on your side that have seen Dick attack you already in a grocery store parking lot. Witnesses saw it and it was on film. So Dick has already made himself look guilty in the case of coming after you once before. Plus he disregarded a RSO. So that's another strike against his ass. Can we say - DOH! about here?

Then the fool ran from the scene of attacking you and Taz because the Police were on their way. So he had evidence all over himself.

I want you to sit in that chair, when/if they put you on the witness stand. Swear yourself in, take a breath and remember? You're not the one on trial!!! I'll say it again. You're not the one on trial!!! The idiot sitting in the chair in front IS. He'll be trying to get your attention. Look if you want to or keep your eyes on your loved ones. If you do happen to look at him? Just remember! He's been sitting behind bars this whole time and will go back there after it's over with.

When you are asked questions. THINK before you speak. And speak with a confident voice. This is your chance to put this man away for a LONG time. So be accurate with your answers and speak loud enough to be heard. You don't want to have to repeat yourself. You might not say it the same way. So bellar it out the first time.

If you tear up for any reason. Don't be ashamed of it. You have every right to. And you know what I'm referencing here???? Just get thru it and speak your answers. Make all of your answers as short and percise as you can. Don't addlib anywhere. This way you can't get tripped up and you'll answer with the same thing each time.

As Cangle said! The entire SR/HH bunch will be there with you in spirit. Taz will be sitting beside you so be sure to take his picture with you. You WILL get thru this. Dick is an evil person that needs to be put away. It can happen. Just be strong and Firm. You've got a Judge sitting right there beside you to strike Dick's Lawyer down if he gets out of hand. So don't worry about him.

Let us know when this will be happening so we can be on board with you.

Love ya

For you Jay!

"The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man."

~Euripides (480 BC–406 BC)
The last of the three great tragedians of classical Athens.

"The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love."

~William Wordsworth (1770 - 1850)

Jay, I will be with you in spirit on Monday, as I am most of the time. TOD had a good idea about the picture of Taz, imagine he and I standing beside you, and that Dick is terrified of me. Remember, if you tell the truth you don't have to have a good memory, so don't worry about your testimony, you can't mess it up because you are a truthful person. You will get through this, and remember, the DA wants and needs you to get through this, so rely on him/her to guide you. I'm proud of you. I think everyone here is. You're standing up to that murderous bully, something he didn't count on, and your story is going to send him away. Oh, and as for the woman who gave birth to you? Totally ignore her when she's present, if she is. The DA will not allow her to mess with you, it's called witness tampering, and she can go away for it, it's a serious crime. Just focus on Sue, who clearly loves you, who is your Mom in so many ways. And don't forget to look at the jury when you're testifying, it will underscore your heartbreaking pain and loss, probably add a few years to Dick's sentence. Tears in this case are manly, I assure you. OK, enough unsolicited advice. I love you, kiddo, hang in there.

Lauren, loved that picture. Reminded me all too sweetly of the couple of years when I lived six miles from the Canadian border. I miss the snow. I can remember the day when it warmed up to about thirty-six degrees - people were out in shorts and tees, grills were going, kids were riding bikes in the slushy street. You can understand how 36 degrees (F) can feel warm after months of sub-zero highs.

So much to do and no energy to do it. One doc says it's lack of oxygen, not to worry too much about it. So I guess I'll muddle through it all, and dream of kicking back in my favorite place next week.

I know you dread it, but I am glad that it is this close to being over! And, since the bagofshyt did not do a plea bargain, doesn't that mean that when he is found guilty, he will get an even steeper sentence? good again.

Just imagine all of us, behind you, sending our love and support. It would be a huge crowd, all around you. Its gonna be over soon, and you will resume your life. The dikhead will begin the life that he deserves . Living well is the best revenge.

take care of yourself, and know you are supported 100%.

((TOD)) - great video!

((Jay)) - Count me in, too, as standing by you in spirit on Monday, more than every other day. I agree with what everyone else has said. Take the picture of Taz, maybe put a little slip of paper with our names on it to keep in your pocket - touch it to remind you we are ALL here for you.

I know you've been dreading this, but it's time to show that bagofshyt (love that Chicory!!) that he can't get away with it. Personally, I'm glad you got the xanax as I'm sure you've been worried about disassociating on the stand. Please do let us know what time it is, so we can ramp up the love to head that way.

Going to the sr. center today, come back home and do homework. Did manage to finish the 2 chapters last night, but still much to do. Another beautiful day, here, supposed to be up to around 65.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

TPA..the picture will be a keepsake for me as this is where
Miley did learn how to overcome her many fears. It is called
the native garden and it was just so perfect for me yesterday as
I had my camera for a change. It was -14C and it was so
crisp and cold..it was refreshing and the air in this small valley
of the provincial park is awesome as there are a lot of pines that
are the best filtering systems going.

Your trip will be coming up pretty soon as well, rest up and it will be a
wonderful time for you.

I can certainly understand when you can remember the fondness of the
snow as I love it. The cold does bother me at times yet I just add
another layer and hope my fingers stay warm..always looking for new
gloves that do the job.

The owl link was amazing.
