Starting Over
You are all awesome!!!! I have been sober for almost 8 months and i think i have figured out that it is not about the drinking. I am going to make a major life change and leave my intense, high stress job to focus more on my family. I am still just a regular person with problems and not all of it is tied to sobriety.
Congrats on 8 months JF!!!! I certainly don't take my sobriety for granted but I don't think about it that much anymore. I have built my life back up as a non-drinker, and I agree, my problems are problems anyone could have. Not easy at first but certainly worth it!!
Sober Day #40 after being dependent on wine, daily, for years.

Hi JustFine,
I have just discovered this thread.
I was sober for 5 years (I used Allen Carr's book to quit), and then a severe trauma happened to me and I thought that I could have just 1 glass of wine. Well we know what happened, and now it's 5 1/2 years later and I am on Sober Day # 40 again, this time using RR.
Thank you for starting this thread. It has given me great hope after relapsing after a significant period of sobriety.
