Here I am!

Still doing well..and NOT smoking!

Mr. Moose was hospitalized for a day, and on the way home from the hospital I ALMOST stopped and bought a pack, but the feeling went away, and then, once again, I forgot that I use to smoke.

I am getting unhappy with my excess appetite.
AND it's cold here, I sure don't feel like going out for a walk!

Hurry up SPRING!

I have been quit for 3 months, and 2 days!

Hey all!

I'm on day 2 of no smoking and so far it's pretty good.
The only tough part was talking with my sponser while she smoked.
She's also sort of against my quitting smoking because I don't have a huge amount of clean time. But, alas, I'm still smoke free!

Moose,
I'm sorry to hear about Mr Moose!!!
What happened? Is he ok?
How are you doing?
Prayers for his quick refuah shleyma -- renual of body and spirit. :praying

I know what you mean about forgetting that you quit.
It's amazing how our addict minds work, itsn't it?
They will not forget our smoking history; we will always be smokers.
And we're only one butt away from a carton again.

I am now Two weeks, 22 hours, 50 minutes and 16 seconds. 299 cigarettes not smoked, saving $89.71. Life saved: 1 day, 55 minutes.
Nais gadol haya po!

Keep the quit and post before you puff!

Shalom!

yep Teach, he's okay.
He took a small tumble and had to stay in the hospital overnight,
but all is good now.

Just made me a little tense.

But, yep, I'm good, and you are doing great too!

Thanks for the good words of prayer.

Teach...
You're doing really good on not smoking. Kudos to you.

I am tired of snow.
We have about 14 inches on the ground.
I walked to the mailbox today, and just about froze.
I want SPRING.
AND I'm impatient about it, so hurry up Spring!

May is only 4 months away.
Hoorah!

Alice????
Chippa????
Come out, come out, where ever you are....

Hey guys-

Sorry I haven't been posting- I've been busy washing my bowls

I apologize in advance for being crass, but there's a sh*tload of bowls around these parts-

Alas, they're MY bowls and I'm washing them- and the good news is the pile of bowls is getting smaller- I can see over the top of them now...

So I've been smoking, not full bore, but certainly not NOT smoking, it's been about a three week relapse- I intend to knock it off, it's a matter of time (I'm thinking weeks not months right now)

Don't take any of this as a woe is me, quite the opposite, aside from being a mental midget who decide to pick up cigarettes again, things are going pretty well considering the economic tomes we're going through right now-

The wife and I have started taking a yoga class (I meant to post that here when we started, I know Alice was pretty into that) and I love it! and my band has been absolutely crushing at the shows we've been playing- nothing more fun than playing a show to a full house of screaming people and leaving at the end of the night with a goodly amount of loot, for something I'd be doing for nothing in some smokey basement anyways!

The kids are doing well, the wife is doing well my job (I work for CAT- anybody read the papers lately?) is actually chugging along pretty good, so I'm not living in complete fear everyday when I show up to work likre a lot of people....

Sorry I've been absent, I lurked for a bit and then went off the grid for a bit, but had you guys and your momentous task at hand in mind the whole time, sounds like your focus is there, your resolve is strong and you're keeping up the fight-

I look forward to joining you comrades!

hi everyone.. here I am. I guess I'm sort of in the same boat as Chippa - never full on smoking again, but not exactly not smoking either. But I'm ready to get back on the non-smoking bus, starting again today! Between the holidays, New Year's, my birthday.. a bunch of little "slips" led into... well, a big slip. But I HATE it and really want to be free again - all that stuff Allen Carr says about smoking adding stress to your life is absolutely True! Glad to see everyone is doing so great - so proud of you all!

Just keep listening to Allen there and you will be back on again!!

Well, I am on day 31 today. I am feeling a little down, ,aybe it is seasonal depression, IDK.

I had a bad smoking dream last night it was SO realistic, I really thought I had blown it.But thinkfully it was only a dream and !

I have to admit though, I am a little bit jealous of Chippa and Alice in that ........gee, sometimes I do feel like I still want to smoke.

OK, I smoked for 26 years, I have had my fill. I just need to snap out of it!

I really wish srping would hurry!

Tuff,
The winter time blues can effect us all. Try to get out each day for at least 10-15 minutes. That helps, just getting that much sunshine. Also, try to eat right, exercise and get enough sleep.

But, as for being jealous of Chippa and Alice, I know that's just wishful thinking. You don't really want to return to that nasty habbit; nor did they. I know for a fact I didn't want to. But, there's something I was doing; or thinking rather; that was off.

I was thinking about what I was missing/ loosing.
Not what I was gaining with my quit.

So, list all the things that you're really missing with that sickarette.
Now, list what you are gaining with your quit.
Which one is longer?
And remember, that nicodemon is trying hard to lure you back.

Today, I am Two weeks, five days, 4 hours, 30 minutes and 29 seconds. 383 cigarettes not smoked, saving $115.13. Life saved: 1 day, 7 hours, 55 minutes.
Nais gadol haya po!

Remember to keep the quit and post before you puff!

Shalom!

me too. Guilty.

I went to the Casino with my mom on Tuesday, and smoked 2 cigarettes.

I get so mad at myself for letting my willpower down.

But, it's okay, I did not continue to smoke.

Glad to see you back Chippa, and Alice.

Where's your band play, Chippa? Bars? Parties? High Schools?

I'd love to hear you play.

Hugs to all.......

Diane
