Kaily, hoping the steroids will help. Did he give Alfie a steroid injection too. Hopefully the steroids will help if you can tempt him to eat.

No injections just tables and only if he eats. He is just sleeping now.

I hope you feel better, PJ.
And I hope Alfie will be OK.

I got two jabs yesterday - covid booster and flu shot. I was sure I'd be feeling awful this morning, but so far, the worst thing is how sore my poor left arm is. But when I had my other covid boosters it took about 24 hours until I started feeling bad. So maybe I'll make it through the work day, or most of it.

Something that has been hanging over all of us at work came to a head yesterday. It's a complicated situation with one of our faculty members who has been out on medical leave this fall. That has caused a lot of chaos - we are a small department and cannot "spare" a professor. Yesterday we found out she is resigning. We needed this information weeks ago so we could plan for the next semester -- it's been very stressful not knowing. She's not really resigning because of her illness, even though that's what the official word is. I know better. Anyway, now that we know, we can get down to the work of replacing her. It's a different sort of stress, but at least we are not hanging around wondering.

I hope Alfie is alright. Sending up prayers that he recovers soon.

Woke up at 5:30 am with a lot of pain. Took my pain meds and made a cup of coffee. When it goes away I'll go back to bed.

Home health nurse is coming at 10:30 to change the dressing. Finally got a appt at the wound care clinic for next Thursday afternoon.

I woke up early but Billie is still in bed sleeping. She's not usually an early riser.

It hurts to think that little Alfie is unwell; the people here think of him as one of their’s. Kaily, I hope he feels better soon. Hugs to you and to Alfie.

PhoenixJ, it hurts to hear that you are feeling unwell. Hugs and love.

RunnerF, hope that you good times ahead with your dog.

MLD, maybe you will get lucky with this COVID shot and not feel poorly.

Least, I am really disappointed to hear that your pain is back. You seem to awaken with it; could it be your mattress?

Hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks again everyone.

My anxiety is through the roof and I am getting palpitations. Drinking thoughts are bombarding me but can you imagine if I was unable to get him urgently to the vet because of being drunk. I am in full on panic mode and keep thinking he is suddenly going to die.

I have sent the vet a text to say he is no better x

Sending best wishes for Alfie- it’s just terrible when they are sick- we feel so helpless. I hope he’s better, Kailey.

End of Day 356 - Good night from Seattle. Stay strong all.

Thought of the day: The AV will suddenly hit now and then like a tornado out of the blue. Just hunker down in the storm shelter and watch it go.

Alfie is showing some improvement today. Still got to see what the blood test results show but I suspect it was acute pancreatitis. Thanks again everyone.

Now I need to deal with eating my emotions in the form of chocolate, buns and ice cream. It needs to .

Mags, I hope you are going gently. You have a lot going on.

Robbie, how are you getting on?

Least glad you have lots of ongoing support

Marty I hope you have having no side errects from the double jab.

PJ Hugs to you and Roxy

Good Morning Weekenders

Goodnight calmself, love the thought for the day…so true. Though hopefully we will weather the storm.

Kaily, so pleased Alfie is showing signs of improvement. Hope the blood tests are helpful to get any medication he should need. take care love. It’s been exhausting for you.
Thanks I’m doing ok, just tired out constantly. It’ll pass. I’m taking it steadily a day at a time.

There were lots of fireworks last night in the distance. I’m sure tonight will be even louder.

Love to all Weekenders xxxx
