Weekends past - If this weekend was like others Weekenders 27 - 30 May 2022
Nice to see you back CBS. I hope you are healing and well done on your continued sobriety.
Leshar, I hope the hip pain improves, it is so limiting. I have had a lot of trouble with one of mine, turned out to be trochanteric bursitis and arthritis. I had to have physio and a steriod injection. Touching wood it is a lot better now than it was.
Yes Dragon, it is a pond and a lot of work to keep it clean and the water correct. I only have two fish in there now, a Koi and a Goldfish.
Thanks for the nice comments on my garden, I do put a fair bit of work into it, keeps me sane.
My delivery eventually arrived at 5.30. I took the dogs for a walk after that and twisted my knee, now it keeps intermittently giving way .

Good sober Sunday morning Weekenders!
Mags - you must have all the sunshine for the north east coast as it's raining here and by the looks of things, it has been raining all night.
Hello PJ
Kaily, hopefully your knee will be OK.
It looks like it could be a day in the house unless the weather improves. I don't mind though, I've plenty of things to do.

And support you to PJ your well being is very important to me. you deserve to be happy as much as everybody else.
CK and son-in-law went shopping for me today go t a whole bunch of groceries enough to last for a month. we also went out to eat with MK and son-in-law to a really good Asian place. There is so much good food in the city. CK and son-in-law said they want to fatten me up,well it's working I've gained 2 pounds since I got here.
CK and son-in-law have been taking Billie out for me too several times a day. They are making my life so much easier just like they said they would.
Mags good luck on your hand surgery coming up on the 6th.

CBS, I'm sure it is a very emotional time for you.
Kaily, I hope you're able to rest your knee. That's a clever idea with the wire netting over your pond.
Least, it sounds like you're settling in well!
The City came yesterday to get rid of all the huge tree limbs which had been moved to my front grass boulevard. They used a digger and now the grass is destroyed. There was debris left over which took me ages to clean up. Bag after bag as there was so much sod pulled up too. This piece of grass is actually City property so I think they should re sod it, sod it! And the digger churned up pieces of asphalt from the road too, all over the grass. The joy of owning a home! But I am grateful to have my own little haven.
PJ, thinking of you.

Greetings and virtual hugs for whoever else needs or would like one
Last full day out of town & then I head back tomorrow afternoon...not looking forward to hitting the ground running when I get home, but trying to relax in the meantime!

Good to see you CBS.
It has rained here but I have cleaned my flat today so no biggie.
I think I know what you mean about the Roger Rabbit film Mags, they were a few period animated vehicles of that style I recall (it is ages since I have seen the film)
Not all Saoutchik's output looked good. This is a Delahaye from 1948. It is definitely eye-catching but looks over the top. It was purchased 17 year old British movie star Diana Dors (who couldn't drive at the time)

End of Day 197 - Good night from Seattle! Happy tomorrow is an off day, can wake up late.
Stay strong, all. Something I am seeing is the universe gives rewards for folks who become and stay sober. Call it good karma as someone here said or the increased focus and awareness. Let's make the next 24 hours sober!

Good Morning Weekenders
Goodnight calmself. Congratulations on 198. enjoy your holiday day.
Definitely second your statement for 24 more hours sober.
Hope the weekend brought one of peace and sobriety.
I’m always surprised how I’ve changed since getting sober. I was always this person inside trapped by my boozy self. Glad she’s slung her hook.
Love to all the Weekenders xxxx

Hi weekenders. Another peaceful weekend coming to a close. at least, it was peaceful for me, I hope it was for you too..
It's almost seven hours since they took Billy to their house and not a word from them. Just called CK and she said they were on their way back here. I was starting to get worried.
I'm tired and I'm going to bed soon.
