Morning all, good luck with the house move Mags.

It's good that you are back in your own home MantaLady.

Sending positive vibes your way Aly.

least, I hope you and Billie are safely reunited now. You must be very pleased about that.

Good morning Weekenders

Manta, good to see you are back home. Take care

Aly, I hope you feel better soon.

MLD, your post is very moving, take care.

Kaily, good news on the jury service and well done on the weight loss. I need to lose the stone I've put on since last summer.

Mags, good luck with the house move and I hope your operation goes well.

Hello to all

Hi Weekenders,
Welcome Pline. Great post from Free. I understand a little as I lead a very solitary existence, not by choice. It's crushingly lonely sometimes.
Thanks for your kind words, Kaily. I'm glad you were excused jury service.
Aly, hope your symptoms settle.
It's good to hear you're home, MantaLady. Enjoy your Billie reunion Least!

I had dinner with a friend and her brother last night. She always has cocktails before a very late dinner. I brought my soda water. I got cranky because of being so hungry. In former weekends, I would have had a few drinks and then secretly glugged from the bottle when my friend was out of the room, to deal with my irritation about dinner being so late. I must remember now to eat a "pre dinner " before a dinner invitation there, so I don't end up "hangry ". A new tool for me to use.
Love to all.

Good to see you LoveHateWine!

Glad you got through your late dinner Leshar. It's not good for you to eat late. I used too when I was drinking which is one of the reasons I got fat back then.

Short week next week - only 3 days of work, Mon/Tues/Weds followed by a 4 day weekend.

Here's a look at a 1931/2 Bucciali 'Fleche d'Or' by a certain Jacques Saoutchik. No one is quite sure how many of these got built but it wasn't many.

Thank you all so much for your kindness re my ulcer. It really has me feeling pretty weak. I'm just resting, taking it very easy. The symptoms are settling a bit. I just hope I can get it under control by taking my meds and eating right. So nice of you all to send me all the goodness!
Have a wonderful weekend all. So grateful for all of you.

Good Morning Weekenders

Aly, pleased you’re feeling a bit better. Take it steady love. x

Nice car Saou, reminds me of the lines of the Morgan but grander.

Not much planned this weekend. My head’s still woolley but it’s not through booze thankfully.

I feel like I’ve an unsurmountable hill to climb with stuff going on. I keep reminding myself of my useful sober tool ‘one step at a time’ it comes in handy on my recovery road.

Love to all Weekenders xxxx

Congrats on 3 weeks, Leshar!!!

Folks, piece of very good news. Today, I accepted a very good offer from M. All thanks to SR and getting rid of the sauce.

I am expecting more offers from G and A, but I really don't know what to do with them especially if they are insanely high. Thank you again for all your support!

Good night from Seattle.

Sao, lovely car with a beautiful backdrop.

Sorry you are feeling overwhelmed Mags. It will all come right in the end.

I have an Argos delivery today, the time they have given me is between 7am till 9pm! Gonna be housebound until they turn up.

These two will have to sun bathe in the garden instead of walkies.

Calm that is wonderful congratulations on the job offer.

nice car.

Went on an outing this afternoon, me and CK and son-in-law and MK and son-in-law. We walked ,well CK pushed me in a wheelchair, to a Mexican restaurant that was so popular it has an hour wait for service. we ate outside so we could bring both dogs, mine and CK's. I had a quesadilla the best I've ever had.

Good Morning Weekenders!

Hopefully all will go smoothly in the end Mags.

Congratulations on the job calmself.

Kaily, your garden looks lovely. Hopefully your delivery won't be too long in coming and you can get to walk Alfie and Daisy in the sunshine.

least, I'm glad you enjoyed your meal. An hour wait for service though - I'd have given up and gone for a McDonalds!

It's a beautiful day outside. Once I've had my breakfast and have hung out the washing I'm heading out for a walk. It's too nice to be inside on a day like this.

Have a good day everyone.

good morning everyone !

I had another solid week at work. I've adjusted to the new start time and feel like I'm more productive. The key for me is being in bed around 4:30 as opposed to 6:30-7. I've noticed it makes a difference.

I stood up for myself at work earlier in the week as well. I think the early morning supervisors were impressed that I spoke up regarding something that had been bothering me. Not drinking has really raised my self confidence a ton.

Our busy season is rapidly approaching. I'll be working and saving up money. It's mind blowing the amount of $ I'm saving these days.

I'm happy to be sober and clean on Saturday mornings!
They were a nightmare in my previous life...I don't miss them at all.

Congrats on the job Calmself!

Have a good day friends ☼
