Grapes too! They’re good sweetie substitutes and very moreish too Probably still loaded with sugar, but at least it’s natural. I try to keep my sugar indulgence to the weekends too, with varying success...

How’re you going with your carrot stick craving Kaily?

Frozen grapes.

You're welcome.

Well, probably more topical for the northern hemisphere folks but Willow, bookmark this convo for next January when you're hot.

Yum Bim. Yes I love frozen grapes. I had forgotten about them. I used to put them in wine in summer so they haven’t been on my radar for a while... But I hadn’t thought to just eat them
Thanks for the reminder!
Yum, and frozen will perhaps make me eat them a bit more slowly....

Hi guys!

Everything is still great. I’m not sure why I haven’t posted much but I feel like I should be concerned. I might make a separate check in thread for me to check in daily. I think I sometimes get overwhelmed when I get “behind” in the weekenders thread if that makes sense.

I miss talking to yall tho so I’ll make more of an effort. Just been so busy!! I signed up to be a mentor for big brothers big sisters so I’m excited for that. It’ll start with the school year since I’m doing a high school mentor program.

Anyways, just wanted to let y’all know I’m doing fine still. Hardly any desire to drink and it feels great.

All this talk of food is making me hungry...Our market does small pots of fresh fruit, at a reasonable price, they’re really tasty and go great with a slice of cake!
Black seedless grapes are my favourite.

Saou, can’t beat a good water fight.

What a moving and uplifting post PhoenixJ, I hope those instruments bring you many hours of pleasure, you more than deserve them. I see you are getting close to 4 years sober too, many congratulations.

I do like the little zoo updates, dpac - so I hope you'll pop in every now and then and let us know how you're doing.

I get it about feeling like there is a lot to read on this thread, but I also hope that people just come as they are. This is my SR "home" thread so I probably post more than anyone really wants and it's mostly memememe-me. So I understand not wanting to keep up with - um - me.

Read and don't post. Post and don't read...it only matters that you don't drink and we are here always to support that. While we're confessing, I'm guilty of skimming posts on this site.

PJ, awesome. Good for you on the instruments. I think we all have that little voice saying we aren't worth it. It's mean, I try to stick my tongue out at it.

Morning all,

Had a productive day yesterday, hoping for the same today. I've been going thru a few bouts of the blahs in past weeks. Knowing I have lots of things I want to do, but just can't seem to get up and do them. And I get upset at myself for wasting precious time.

I wrote here once that my productivity comes in waves and I just go with the flow. But I'm starting to wonder if it isn't more to it than that...

I get what you are saying STDragon. I have streaks to my productivity, also. I'm in a productive streak right now, but when I'm not, I feel guilty. Like I should be doing something useful ALL THE TIME. Because there's so much to do. It really messes with my head. But we can't all be super productive all the time. We do need down time. I find that in my "slow times" it helps me a little to just make a list of easier but necessary things - like the everyday things we have to do (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc) so that I can cross them off and see how much I actually do on a daily basis. Helps me realize that even when I'm not working on bigger projects, I'm still getting things done.

Dragon, MLD, I’m not sure if it’s the same but since I retired I still feel like I should be doing stuff and haven’t got used to the fact I can have a quiet day if I so please.

My bad, I misread your post, that was the date of your accident.

It's good that you have lots of thing you want to do Dragon. Much better than having no goals or targets.

I got a back handed compliment from a customer today. Some cheesewiz placed an order and asked me if I would write a preamble on a prospectus they are drafting ( a sort of quote prequal) as he felt theirs was too dry and felt that my "layman's point of view. " might make it a less intimidating read. What a liberty!
