RAL ive been thinking health related stuff too and how fragile our bodies can be. I feel like im hanging on by a thread sometimes, and then i think well if i can hang on to this thread for 60 more years im golden lol.
Day 11 down. This weekend is my next challenge. The plan is to busy myself with gym, Spanish lessons/studying, sleeping/napping, cleaning house internally and externally, and a meeting or church or both. I know I’m not drinking tonight. Be back soon.

Hi everyone - start of 32 here. Big day and long weekend ahead with visit and doggie friends.
My teams games have been heart breaking to watch lately. 3 games, 2 different teams and sports, all whom led until the final minutes and even second only to lose. Oh well, I kinda feel emotionally detached from it this time around these days.
Gotta clean up again when I get back. Slept well so that's always a good start.
Have a great sober day and weekend ahead!

Thanks Dee, it's been officially a whole month (31 days). Longest stretch was 3 months in 15 years, and that is when I started to have mental angst and drank (the only time it helped), but I fell back right into it for another couple of years. Can't wait to graduate this class with honors.
No time to clean, but glad that my visit dropped off what was needed at my front door while I was away.
Just got back from the vets. Expensive just to send blood work to the lab and it's only the beginning. I had totally forgotten about the volunteering, but remembered in time. It was more pleasant this week, no smart mouth around cracking the same joke and insulting my dogs.
Had cravings during the course of the day, but finally made it home and took double the dosage of naltrexone and regular campral.

Howdy all - morning o' day 8 & checking in. Had a good weekly therapy appointment yesterday evening, and am in decent spirits this morning. I slept 6 hours straight last night without even trying which feels like a major accomplishment on day 8 lol.
Congrats everyone on your milestones - lets keep kicking this affliction's ass for another day.

Friday before a long weekend here. This particular holiday (Victoria Day) is usually a big drinking occasion as it marks the beginning of the summer season. Fond memories from my younger days. However, I will just have to hold on to those memories as it was a different time before alcoholism ravaged my life.
Caprice, give us a Raptors cheer!!

Hello everyone,
Finally some sun around these parts.
Cannuck - what a disappointing last game, hope they come up with a win tonight.
Feeling sick today (stomach bug) can hardly keep water anything down, nevermind coffee today, but can still function. Must.function.
Have a good one!
