@Sao

Maybe that's why they're called the Pyrennees, they are only just above the Pyrenankles.

Congratulations, Kaily!I agree with Bim, you will feel much better in the months to come. I muddled through the first 6 months, had lots of days of feeling pretty good, and lots of days of really struggling. But once I got through that roller-coaster time, things evened out considerably and I just settled into a nice new routine and felt much more calm and peaceful.

((((Petals))))); that OT guy was totally out of linen the loss of a loved-one is one of the most significant life events that we experience. It takes time, love and support to get through. The grief process doesn’t take place in a vacuum; we have to go through life and all of its inanities and insanities and trivialities while we try to make sense of navigating a life without our loved one; it is often a cruel process. Do you have a real-life support network - a grief support group could be very helpful.

Remember, that you can always lean on us. So many truly caring folks here.

You are in my prayers.

Killer 'Komplishment, Kaily!

Way to nail that pivotal 6 Months. Bim and MLD profiled what The Early Months were like for me as well, so there ya go.

The Future is totally yours...

I think I've spent too much time in this thread and also watching Netflix British TV shows.

I've started calling my afternoon meal, "Tea." I even changed its name in my food log on Myfitnesspal.

At least I think ya'll call the afternoon meal, "Tea." If not, well I guess it doesn't much matter. Cucumber sandwich with hummus and red peppers and carrots, in case you're wondering. I drank actual tea with it, too, which I've been doing. And actually, it's only 10:45AM, so I guess it's really Elevensies...which is also one of my meal names.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Tea for me is a 'cup of tea'. I think when I was little dinner was sometimes called Tea.

Not sure what the chocolate bits in between meals are called.. naughty I guess.

Hope you cut the crusts off those cucumber sandwiches Bim

Haha Bim! There is a divide in the U.K. on calling your evening meal either dinnertime or teatime. If your from the North and not posh your evening meal is teatime. I bet Andy and Sao call their evening meal dinner lol (not saying there posh...just softy southerners lol). xx

Seeing as Kaily started it I feel duty bound to share my favourite bad joke...

Why did the DJ go to the farmers market
.
.
.
...to get some “fresh beets”!

It is naughty! I did chocolate yesterday and it set me off on a eat-all-foods-within-sight binge.

I ate the crust. It wasn't those fancy-pants little white finger sandwiches. This was whole wheat and two inches thick. Because yum.

Now I don't know where I got the notion that tea was a whole meal in the middle of the day. Oh, well - I've been wrong a LOT this week.

And I am the anti-posh.

Hi All,

Enjoying lurking on this thread - the 'weekenders' are always good reading...

Congrats Kaily on 6 months - great going! It's for 4 months today for me :-)

Oh, and my evening meal is 'dinner'. 'Tea' is light refreshments mid afternoon...
