Morning Weekenders

Enjoy your hike, Vinny.

Hi Leigh

I’ve got my grocery delivery this morning. Not much going on, just pottering about.

See you later.

Morning, weekenders.

Popped in to say that I am alive, still kicking, and have food on my table.

Again, withing a week I've experienced a string of some crazy-ish events.

Gotta go now, details later.

Have a good day, everyone!

Morning all,

It's my 6 month soberversary today, never thought I would see the day. Very hard fought for and certainly still is.

Its also group therapy day again, be interesting to see how many of the original 8 turn up. It was a very awkward experience with lots of difficult silences. Who knows maybe it will be just me then it will be the one to one I was hoping for.

Lovely post SoberLeigh.

Enjoy your hike Vinny.

Enjoy your shopping Mags.

STDragon glad to hear your fingers, toes and anything else hanging about survived the deconstruction faze of your bathroom makeover.

Earthquakes at ten to six made me laugh...

Just saw this little cluster of flowers in the front. I planted some wild flower seeds and sweet peas, so these maybe wild flowers.

Hi everyone, just popping in to catch up with you all.
I had a very unsettling occupational health appointment yesterday, I was basically told to pull myself together and get on with life. Since losing my dad I'm in a really bad place.
But I'm still here plodding along.
Big hugs
Xx

petals, some of the health profession just don’t know how to treat people. It takes time to come to terms with the loss of your dad. Sending love.

Oh Petals that's awful. Nobody can tell how to feel and when you should feel it. I hope you felt able to tell them that it isn't that simple.

You need to grieve as long as you need to grieve.

Be kind to yourself.

Hi Petals

An OT has no business telling you to 'get on with your life'.
I hope you'll consider making an complaint about this person.

I'm off to the low mountains myself for a good hike. I hope the snow has melted below 2000m
PJ
I'm curious; what qualifies as a 'low mountain'? (coming from the perspective of a prarie flat lander).

Yes, I agree, that's shocking Petals. What qualifies that OT as an expert in emotional support?

Wow kaily, congratulations. That's a huge milestone. Keep adding up that sober time, the hard fight is sooo worth it.

Kaily, huge congrats.

After six months passed, I didn't have very many battles with drinking thinking. I started feeling extraordinarily *better* right around eight to nine months. My experience is that the next few months will be really great for you.

Six months without a drink is massive.

Vinny, those mountains are more than hills in my world.

Midnight, good to see you. I thought of you as I opened this thread today. I needed you yesterday to tell me, "Back away from the English muffins, bim." Yeah. Yesterday was not a good food day and I'm paying for it this morning.

The stress of this construction project is more than I want to deal with. Accept the things...

Maybe that's why they're called the Pyrennees, they are only just above the Pyrenankles.
