Dear daughter relly enjoyed the group and want's go back. Yay! it was a bit eye opening for her to meet real people with similar diagnoses. I'm so happy that she sees value in it.

Today marks my 6 month soberversary!! I set a reminder on my phone and it pinged on my way to work which was a wonderful way to start the day. Can’t believe I got here, and a big thanks to all the lovely weekenders who I am not sure I would have gotten this far without!! Love you guys and gals

New to the site but not recovery. Found this searching for the origins of NA key tags and wa-la...here I am. Awesome site & love the weekender thread. Was some of my tougher times early on years ago, crazy, hectic work week...then...off to the chatroom's to keep me out of my own head...scary place to be and never went alone.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you...

I'm on some meds for now.
I gave myself a bit of a scare with this relapse. In terms of frequency and quantity.... Looking forward to a AA meeting tonight. The hospitalisation next week has me a little perplexed but I think it's a step in the right direction.
I have been thinking alot about the film into the wild recently. Emile Hirsch was incredible but it's just that I think that's nearly what I want to do now. Hit the road and work small jobs with Mrs and Mini Vman... Nice thought at least.

VMan that's great that you are feeling better. This addiction we have is so much easier to deal with when we are in the right frame of mind.
I made it to the summit of Cairngorm, OK it's not Mount Everest but it is surprisingly rugged up there.
