Happy Birthday to Madame V.
I too don't like balloons. They put me on edge becasue I'm expecting one to pop at any second.
Final big push this morning then I fly home this afternoon. yay! Apparently the dog is lost and moping around with out me. The kids probably didn't even notice I was gone.

sitting in the airport. Didn't have any time for site seeing. Its somewhat expected that you go on business trip with a goal and your there to work. But I got to lay in a couple of days 'cause no one started 'till 9am. Engineers. For today I managed to get a pass and started at 6am, first one into the building.

Good to see you Sweetpeacan!

Well done Dragon. There was a time when a 9am start would have required a Herculean effort on my part and 6am would have been out of the question. Sobriety rocks!

I'm out with a bad back so this week the weekender will really be a weekender. I'll start a new one tomorrow sometime, my time.

Home sweet Home. I only crossed one time zone. Think I could get a day off for jet lag?

Welcome home Dragon. Was the dog (and your kids) happy to see you? I love those YouTube clips of animals being reunited with their owners and although you were were only gone for a few days, I hope it was something like that (only referring to your dog for this part).

Good to see you Sweetpeacan!

Hope your back sorts itself out in no time Dee. A painful back can be quite debilitaing.

Mantalady, making you own bread is a lot of fun. Have you ever tried sourdough? If you are interested, there is a great American website called Breadtopia.com with lots of tips, instructional clips, recipes etc. It also caters for normal dry yeast baking and the owner even responds to email queries.

As some of you might know, I am busy with a court trial. It’s a medical case and we are calling our first expert witness today, a nursing professor.

Have a great Thursday Weekenders!

Belated happy birthday to Mrsvman
Thanks for asking v... I'm back home from the all inclusive holiday.... but it's re-ignited Mr P's desire to drink more regularly.
One minute he says he understands me and supports me.... next he's buying booze and having a go at me saying he doesn't see why he shouldn't drink just because I can't...
I still get so irritated by it... I need to think of new strategies to help me... don't like how it makes me feel... don't like the arguments... it's not always possible to go out for a walk... or sit in another room... sometimes that just aggrevates the situation... I try to recite the serenity prayer to myself... thinking if getting a bangle with it on as a visual aid for me... I know I've asked before but any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks.
Big hugs to everyone. XxX

Alas I have no magic wand Petals.
I understand the difficulty and complexity of your situation. I thank my lucky stars that Mrs V is not a drinker. I certainly don't have to deal with your type of situation. I feel like a nobbo saying have a sit-down and talk about it with him but that's all I can offer. You stay strong.

Yea the dog was really excited, he ran around the house for a good five minutes then wouldn't leave my side the rest of the evening.

Daughter and Wife met me on the 'hug rug' at the airport. That was nice. Normally I take a taxi home 'cause the company pays for it.

My son yelled 'Hi!' from his basement bedroom.
