Yes, indeed Neil is one of us....and his troubles started so early that I was young enough (and dumb enough) to be offended that he got such attention, at least in my circles, for his history. I was already drinking like a teenage fish, and resented any of my fave artists even IMPLYING that mind altering substances could possibly be a problem. I resented that the people just a little ahead of my generation were already calling it quits???? Good grief! Let me have my turn, I thought.

Sheesh.

Enjoyed listening to Neil Young, it's been a while.

I must tip my hat to a woman who gets on the undergound at my stop and at about the same time in the morning (I do not know her) Somehow she manages to apply her makeup immaculately whilst holding the overhead rail with one hand in a packed train . It is as much as I can do to scroll my phone.
I love this...I have a similar distant relationship with a young woman who always seems to be headed to airport at same time as me. She starts out south side, like me, does her makeup on the way, and has a car-charger flat-iron!! How is that possible? Straighten her hair, parks near where I do, and with great nonchalance saunters to airport security.

Edit...in case not obvious, we are each hurtling 20+ miles at 80mph in cars...driving!

What is this “makeup” of which you speak? LOL!

If I ever have occasion to dress very well, I call my daughter to come over and put the makeup on tastefully. I just don’t have the magic touch!

LOL! Actual makeup has not adorned my face in the last 20 years. Yes, I know, that says a lot. I am lucky if my face is all roughly one color, vaguely close to what was marked “flesh” on my Crayolas. Wow. Another age placement there!!

All my life I’ve felt most comfortable in T-shirts and cutoffs.

One day a couple years ago I was standing behind this absolute knockout lady at the bank. T-shirt and shorts and nice tan legs, with long blonde hair down her back.

Then she turned around and her face looked like she was 100 years old!

I decided to retire the T-shirts and shorts for good that day.

I was at work today when the owner, half my age, walked by as I was whistling the guitar riff from Powderfinger. "What's that?"

1/2 hour later, down the youtube hole, we have a convert ladies and gents.

Powderfinger trach......really.....are you serious.....I had no idea there were other than Aussies who know the brilliance of our Bernard. ♥♥

EDIT: No.....sadly I was wrong. Still Neil Young. Shame. Powderfinger are/were one of the greatest Aussie bands in the history of ever.

I think they took their name from the song.

Oh damn, of course they did....I am such an Aquarian.

Wiki: "The band's name is from Young's song of the same name."
Sigh....what am I to do with me.

Actually, when my tenants and I celebrated Australia Day when his mom was here, he played Powderfinger music as we dined on the meat pies!
