Della1968 - I would love to paint every room in my house. But I got lots of wall paper and two adult children. The cleanup and pre work would kill me. I do have a bathroom renovation that's waiting for me tho.

I love to strip wallpaper!! I am a freak I know lol. TGIF everyone!!

I have two rooms left to strip wallpaper out of. I hate doing it. Della - I'll cook for you if you come to my house and do it...

Sao, nice Lancia. What year is that?
It is a 1966 Flaminia

It really ticks me off that people I gave a quote to nearly a fortnight ago have accepted but want everything done and delivered by the 24th

Oh my word, I had some crazy doom-and-gloom dreams this morning.
One was a relapse dream that seemed very very real, followed by one where I was trapped in a shopping mall during a large scale terrorist attack.. I would never go to a mall that was that big and that busy..

Is this the current frequency of my thoughts???

Anyway, thank God the sun is out today! Too cold to go outside but sun makes me happy regardless.

I'm here! I spend my off time knitting, a lot. I've also discovered open coursework and it not only keeps me occupied, I get in some learning too. 64 days and counting

Welcome to all new weekenders!

Sao - do I get it right that Midnightbimini is supposed to be in Switzerland by 24th?

I'm a knitter too RayJay. I haven't picked it up since I had my last drink (I've been too sleepy and distracted by here); but I know it's great for taking the mind off things. What are you currently working on? I take it you have discovered Ravelry?

LOL! This was a customer at the place where I work MiddnightBlue nothing to do with my car.

Slightly confusingly the Swiss guy is currently working in London so the car may not be going far.

Bought a large swordfish steak on the way home for only £2.95, bargain! I ate it with chips (fries if you are American) and a green salad. Good stuff.

So, he's walking the bank check over to you this weekend then for the car?

What's the holdup on the sale? (Yes, I'm that nosy...)

Been spending more evening time cooking and have found that sober cooking is a lot safer and tastier! Looking forward to being on the bus this weekend !

Lots of people checking in, love it!

STDragon, congrats, and if you ever come to Portland again you know you have a sober bud here

There are a plethora of awesome places to eat here. I bet you probably went to Street & Company.

I've still never been to either of the famous "Portlands". I would love to...heard so much good about the one in Maine.

I'm kind of already winding down my workday...very tired and glad it is Friday. Have just two more meetings, neither of them tough.

Weekends are actually a lot easier for me than weekdays. Just my pattern. This is why I so appreciate that the Weekender thread never really closes down, nor does it fade away.

I went to the hairdressers this evening to get my hair cut and dyed. The lady said "ok sit here and let me look at your hair". Then she said "yeah you are very lucky. You have no grey hairs yet".
I'm 36.
Is this what I have to look forward to now? Am I old? Do I look old?
On a slightly similar note I went on a date a while ago with a guy I met on an online dating site. As we were having coffee he said "I'm pleased that you look younger in person than you do in your photos".
I was just reminded of that tonight.

Anyway when I first started my current job I worked in a different office to the one I'm in now. I met two of the ladies I used to work with for coffee today. I told them my contract was extended to 31/12/17 and they told me "I'd say you pretty much have it made. More than likely the job is yours for as long as you want...Unless you murder some one".

Music to my ears! As my dad said "yeah I know the pay is low but it's an excellent addition to your CV and you have learned new skills".

I know nothing in life is guaranteed but I was pleased to hear that all the same. Occasionally I'm still very unsure of myself. Old habits are hard to break.
