random thoughts -

wished I lived by the beach. makes my soul happy. been a while since ive been there.

somewhere over the rainbow - I've given up on seeing my dreams coming true in this lifetime, but am ok with that. still love the song.

books are special to me too. I keep hold of the ones that have moved me. trying to get rid of all the excess.

I wish I lived near an ocean, too, Julia. Something about it.

Love that version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"!

Hope all have had a good weekend. Mine was good; my mother was in fairly good shape. (She is elderly and quite frail.)

Take care everyone. I'll be gone for a few days while attending a conference.

To any new people coming this week, congratulations on choosing sobriety!

Gilmer that's a funny story with your grandson. There's nothing better than listening to a little kid laughing.

Went to a farm that turns into an entertainment forum in fall. Corn maze, hayrides, bounce house, stacked hay bales to climb on. It was fun. Didn't do the maze. It's been raining for about five days straight here.

Petals sleeping outside sounds cool.

I'm glad I caught up here. Good reading how everyone is doing

Hope all is well for everyone and everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was good, but a little edgy today. Not sure why, but stuck in blah thoughts. However, tomorrow is another day and I will be waking up sober and rested.

Have a good night or day.

Morning, all.

My cold transitioned into coughing. Need to nip it in the but. I am going to the doc tomorrow - let's see what she'll say.

Have a great sober week, everyone!

Despite all that's going on in my life - I am excited about October. Somehow in recent years it's always been a month of extreme challenges and life-changing moments for me. Ready or not - time to take more actions on the way to my goals.

Evening all,
Nice to see the new faces, hope everyone is going well.

I'm doing good. I'm working my butt off. I've been doing my goal setting.

I have to take 3 seperate pages and on each one write on the top of it something that I want. Then below that statement, I have to write the 'reasons why I want this'.
Then on the back page, I write the following - 'these are the reasons I believe I will have this'.. and then I have to list them.

I'm finding it very powerful.
I have absolutely been getting the results of my actions rather than my wishes.

Now I'm getting why every thought, every gesture, every day counts.

Morning gang!

Hope you arrived this morning sober and sane. OK... at least sober? Being sober never implies sanity but its a good clue that someone might be sane. I know if I were drinking that I wouldn't be.

Ready for the work week. This weekend was a colossal sit on my butt! Oh well. Needed that I guess. Next weekend is a pumpkin carving contest and the week after that going to Salem Mass for the Halloween festivities.

Good morning, everyone! I'm ready for a great week!

I'm putting new tools in my recovery toolbox and it's so fun! A daily newsletter from one source, and a sobriety "school" from another source. It'll be fun to mix it up and have homework. I do well with accountability.

I hope everyone has a great day!
