Morning everyone

Recycling day here, I spoke with neighbour cat Boris's owner this morning, she is a fairly elderly lady with something of an exotic past, she used to know Andy Warhol and is from the same part of Europe as him (Ruthenia)

Wow! Cool, Sao!

Has anybody else met anybody who knows someone famous?

Asking that question doesn't seem as much like an intrusion to me as asking if you actually know the celebrity yourself.

Sao - she must me an interesting person to talk to.

Gilmer - I personally have no celebrity buddies, but I met Evander Holyfield twice, got a pic with him, and had a nice chat with his trainer)

I am off to the doc. See you all later.

That's right! I remember the first time you met Evander Holyfield!

I know I once met somebody who knew somebody's employee, but details escape me. I once met a member of the Washington Redskins at a neighborhood party; but I'm not really into football, so he was just another neighbor to me. I couldn't tell you his name if my life depended on it!

I parked next to pee-wee herman at a convenience store, he was not in costume so not sure if it counts as pee wee or not

You know me and I'm related to Junior Samples(RIP). Really.

I have a favorite celebrity encounter: Bobby Cox. Famous manager of the Atlanta Braves.

Wow! Cool! You really are a southerner!

Come to think of it, in the 80s I was eating at a restaurant in Disney World and I saw Art Linkletter.

I am back from the doc. Even dropped by my lawyers since i've got more letters from banks.

The doc extended my sick leave till Friday. I am getting lazy - sleeping in, coffee in bed and SR in the morning.

See you all.

I'm sure you need the rest, MB. Just go with it. I wish doctors here would recommend "sick time" from work. Seems like we are expected to go to work no matter what.

Hello all. Back to a more normal pace at work today. I had a brief due yesterday that I was WAY behind on, but we got it out the door, hopefully without too many warts. Then had a 2+ hour call with clients last night. I had my 11yo son supervise his little sisters' bedtime. He did a great job; even changed the little one's diaper and put her to bed. What a good kid.

All of my near-celebrity encounters are with sports figures. When I was a teen I worked an autograph signing for Brett Favre. I've talked to various Wisconsin Badger football and basketball players over the years at booster events (Bret Bielema; Jared Abbrederis; Nigel Hayes; etc.) I once ate dinner two seats away from Doug Melvin, former GM for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Hope all is well with you, weekenders. Peace!

That was the first song of Janis Joplin's I ever heard, Ardy. I hope you and Ed are well today.

Rest well, MB. I hope you feel better soon.
