We could sit at separate tables and wave to each other occasionally.

I had the same thought! Lol

Introverts unite!
Separately!
In your own homes!

Deep down you are love, MLD.

It's hard to learn and even harder to nuance the ability to be detached and still compassionate. I struggled with that a lot. Still do sometimes. I'd rather just walk away.

That is a delicate balance for me as well. I completely understand.

Nearly home time. It is a beautiful day here which is actually a tad irritating as it is Monday after a week of leave. I am considering walking home but probably won't as I am creamed

Like Melina I am also "on stage" to a certain degree and am really happy not to have to listen to the sound of my own voice in the evenings. That said I do miss my ex wife sometimes. It is hard to get the balance right

Happy 3 years sober Venecia and I know you will have many more

We have a newish guy at work (started May or June) he is 24 and has an Honours Degree in Graphic Design so you would think he was pretty smart wouldn't you. Turns out he has got the hots for Dizzee, good grief is all I can say.

I was considering walking home but I am tired and wearing a suit so I shall probably be lazy and get the train

Still alive.

Busy weekend. Daughter moved out Saturday. Just an apartment across town, but she is a college senior, so it was time for her to start living on her own. I just wish she didn't get a second floor apartment. Carried a lot of furniture up steps on Saturday.

All day yesterday at the office. I shutter to think how much time it would take me to service the number of clients I want. Just a handful now and it takes all my time. I will get more efficient as time goes on, but....dang!

Busy at the day job this morning, but I need to get on SR and touch base. I need to read the stories and remember how it was.

I've never eaten alone at a restaurant either and probably never will and that's ok! I'm not into food like y'all are so no biggie for me. Some day maybe I'll get over my fear of food lol...till then here's to my lunch of a half PB sandwich and apple!

Rainy and cool here today...my boss still thinks it's 105 and has the air cranked way down ugh! Yay for space heaters!!

Mld...WhaT you said resonates with me. I dreaded being alone until I stopped drinking and flipping from relationship to relationship. Now I love my own company and the peace and quiet that comes with it. I no longer dislike myself.
But....I hope I'm not getting the bug that is going around. Not feeling well and my stomach is a wreck. I need to get to work regardless.

Sao, I was skimming your post with that birthday image for Venecia and reading your blip about the graphic designer in your office, and my brain convinced me that "Celebrating" was missing an "r." But on closer inspection, I see it has an "r."

That's weid.

Happy 36 months, Ms. V.

Venny, you rock!

Three years?! I didn't realize it was that long you've been getting your marbles back... no wonder you are so measured and kind and gracious, milady.

I'm blessed to know you. And I'm very proud of you!

Let's have a big toast with your favorite LaCroix! Hear hear, three cheers for three years!

I love ya, my sober sis! Thank you for lighting the way xoxo

Speaking of LaCroix, I picked up Cherry Lime this weekend. I was really enjoying it until my wife ruined it by saying that it tastes like cherry flavored cough syrup. She's kinda right.

You guys convinced me to try La Croix, too. I bought the Peach/Pear on sale for $1.99 an eight pack. EIGHT! WHAT?

I will go back to my regular plain stuff with a squeeze in the future.

Color me not that impressed. Someone's making a fortune on bubbly water.

I still love Gain, though. That was a good buy.

I hate anything cherry flavored because of that cough syrup. Ruined for life.

Congratulations on 3 years, Venecia!
That's Big!

Heading up to my house in Oneonta NY tomorrow.
Haven't been there since November.
The imaginary house. LOL.

Should be peaceful in the woods.
Last August I got a clear view of the ISS
gliding right overhead.
The year before, I saw a scissor tail flycatcher.
Oklahoma's state bird.
It's on the Oklahoma quarter.
