Hi Hope, i just read about your mom, i did crack with my mom a couple times a few years ago....she doesn't like pot but drinks a WHOLE lot, my grampa died last year and my mom got a whack of money as a result......as i'm told from my sister, she bought a bunch of pipes....cause she liked the looks of them.......i actually had a dream the other night about my mom sleeping with my crack dealer boyfriend......nasty...
when i hear of my family and their drinkin, or whatever it might be, i too thank God i don't have to choose that today, i have to let go and let God there.'
My mom sent me an e-mail the other day telling me that she's started looking up addiction on the net......yeah!!!!!!!! And how happy she is to have me back in her life, that i'm so important to her. I think maybe some of my recovery is wearing off on her..hope so anyway. Because most of my family uses one form of mind/mood altering substance i choose to keep my distance, for now anyway. Do what i need, not always what i want.
I agree with T2S you are a wonderful sweet person,and great to have you here.

Day 9

Each day is a blessing. We are all given a choice
on how to spend the time we have. After quitting
alcohol and drugs we spend time in a mental fog
but it will go away. We will get better each day
we do not pick up. Every day will be better than
the last and that gives us great hope! Life is
beautiful and is meant to be treasured.

I'm doing fairly well today. I'm feeling a little bit better. Trying to look on the positive side of things. I'm still waiting to get my energy back though.

If only that thought of using cocaine didn't come into my head every day I would be so much better. It consumes me and eats away at me. And my friend is so angry at me and it just makes me think "what is the point of trying?"

Very tired, but tried to let a little bit cleaned up around my place. that was so hard and took so much effort. Seems like more effort than I could afford. I'm still so exhausted, even with rest, I'm feeling fatigued. I can't get too much done in my days, which is problematic. But I'm hanging in there, slugging my way through the bad days as well as the good ones.

Thanks for letting me get my stuff out.

I called my friend this morning and left a message asking him to please never talk to me like he did the other night. I got really hurt because of the way he was then. If he continues to talk to me like he did the other night, I have to let him go because I don't deserve to have anyone treat me that way. I've been good to him but if I have to cut ties to save myself, then so be it. I'm looking out for me these days.

Just stopping in to say hi before I go get my wisdom teeth pulled. I'm scared.......I'm just shaking in my boots (which are my new cute ones, BTW). I'll be soooooo glad when this is over and I feel better. As for as sober days go, Im on the BIG 13 today! Woohoo!! I know that might not seem like much, but to me that is A LOT!!
