Just got home from taking myself out for dinner and a movie. Saw "Trainwreck." Was laughing so hard I cried. It is the funniest movie I've seen in a very long time. Recommended if you can handle raunchy sex humor, lots of male butt cheeks, (nice athletic ones) lots of swearing, and a warm fuzzy but still very funny ending. Two thumbs up from this gal.

I tried for a Moonshot, too, Ruby. No go.

I think MLD51 is the only one to see interesting 'Moons' tonight, eh?

Sunset in the other direction from the Moon...

MLD, there's nothing like a good laugh. I'm glad you had one tonight.

Bim, I was thinking mock mojito. A friend of mine took some of my rampant mint for her yard for the real thing. Hmm. The only time I've had a mojito was in London at a restaurant called Cuba Libre. That was a while back.

Bedtime for me too. I'm the only person awake. Pets are roaming around.

My much-loved Grandmother passed away last night, quite suddenly at the age of 90.

She was better than fine. She was amazing until a couple of days ago. Even her mind was as sharp as a razor.

Then she got a bug of some kind and went down hill rapidly.

Goodbye Granny. I love you so, so much.

Oh, Tetra! I'm so sorry to hear that your grandmother passed. Your posts about her were always so warm and loving. What a shock. My thoughts are with you.

I'm in a place called Bushey at the moment, it's on the North West fringe of London (and is where George Michael is from). Just got a deal to supply Europol (european version of Interpol) with various bits of uniforms, insignia and signage.

Makes a change for me being on the right side of the Law - I'm working for The Man now Ha!

sorry about your grandma Tetra, I hope when my time comes I just check out like that and don't have to endure years of misery and sickness.

And now for something completely different...

My rosanne rosanadana remarks on calling shotgun when the thread gets 'flipped'. Why not call shotgun every new page? Why not call shotgun after midnite? When you take a trip, whoever has shotgun keeps it until the trip is over. You don't call shotgun after stopping at a gas station to refill the tank do you? And congratulating someone for "getting shotgun" is just so silly.
I mean, C'mon man!

Anyhow, I recall someone posting about 'shotgun' rules they came a cross.
I think there may be the 24 hour advance rule.
*** "When a trip is decided and several of the trip members are present, it is perfectly acceptable to call shotgun as long as it is within 24 hours of the start of the trip."

Using this rule, I am calling SHOTGUN for the weekender thread starting on July 30. Thank you for your heartfelt congratulations on my getting shotgun for this weekend in advance.

Sorry LBrain. It's only when the Bus is in sight. If you want to discuss this, you can talk to my big brother. He used to wrestle and is bigger than you.

Tetra, I'm so very sorry about your Grandmother. That is a shock. I've lost all my family, and I'm with LBrain, I hope I'm chugging along at 90 and then *poof.* It's a shock for those left behind, but long illness sounds worse.

May you find peace and love with your family during this time. She will always be in your heart and looking over you.
