it is coming down fast and furious here. We closed the medical school at 2pm and will be closed all day tomorrow. I am home and taking the dog out as he loves the snow, but he is a little guy, I have him wearing his black down parka with a hood. Tonight we are having quesidias and tortillas with chicken and cheese, guac. and chips.

my heat is on and so is my heated floor....2 humidifiers, hope we do not lose power.
airports are closed now and so is NYC for the most part...no broadway, no subway after 11pm.

I am fortunate enough to have automatic plowing, shoveled walks and driveway (I pay for it monthly whether we need it or not, it is part of me fees). I will be happy to sit home tomorrow and watch tv, Netflix, play scrabble! like a party with the neighbors. my one neighbor is a retired cop and he just bought a new snowblower like a toy...I will pay him in candy.

Hey LB... with the snow it makes Crow hunting season a little easier no? no?

Miss Fandy... yes nothing says "tough it out" like heated floors in a blizzard!!! Love ya!

I have both Netflix and Amazon... Amazon is winning by far with ease of use to pick out movies and the over all experience. They have a better selection for me too.

Getting gipped here. Barely a couple inches this morning. Nothing since day break.
most everything was canceled preemptively. Now we won't get the snow they promised.

I'd rather deal with a lot of snow than ice. Be careful should you get it.

Glad to hear that. I live about 15 miles west of midtown and my son is travelling via bus to the Port Authority from Boston. He just arrived and now has to take another bus home. I tried to convince him to come home yesterday, but he's 19 and knows a whole lot more about these things than I do.

For the record, he's a great kid and we get along wonderfully.

I'm home finally. Who does laundry before a blizzard? This guy does, picked up a buffalo. chicken calzone for dinner. Ive got everything i need so I'm hunkering down for the storm. I should dig out my camera since i haven't used it since i bought it last year. Never thought about taking pics of the storm, I'm usually to drunk to think about anything.

Glad your thinking has changed. I don't take too many pictures of storms, but definitely have pictures of the snow falls that were about as tall as my kids when they were young. I used them as props to give perspective. :-)

And then there are the sledding pictures and those of them next to snowmen they built.

That calzone sounds great. It's turning into a blizzard/food thread.

PNY... No I have not seen it. I will look it up for tomorrow. I planned on watching a movie a buddy at work told me about. Pain and gain with marky mark and the rock. Looks fun!

Next up for snacks... Bryers mint chocolate chip!

Sounds like everyone is doing well and getting into the spirit of things. We are getting light snow but it actually looks like freezing rain. So dark, potentially slick and my check engine light went on. Car is only three years old with 16,000 miles on it. Drag.

I hate night driving. Worse when its freezing precip and car warning goes on. And Mr. Ruby got a lay off notice today. Even if I'm not officially in the snow patrol area I'm glad my peeps are here tonight.

Oh. And my daughter left my ice cream on the counter, melted it and son threw it out. I think I can get some on way home from doctor.

When we were in kauai this summer, spam was everywhere. Have never had any. How does one prepare spam? At least I know it goes with eggs.

I once had a boss laugh like Marie Antoinette when I told him I liked Spam. He had never heard of anyone who had eaten Spam!
