Weasel there are other ways to loose the 15 lbs.
Nonsensical you have a talent. Nothing better than using up the scraps.

The wife made steaks on the barbie and some nice bean and cherry tomato salsa.
We at so busy this time of year it is a treat to have cooked food.

Umm hi, just tiptoing in past the film quotes (I have attention span of a gnat so don't make it to the end of many, let alone know many quotes!) just to say thanks for the lovely welcome

Sat here sober, having refused both a gin and tonic and a Chinese takeaway! My body loves me right now for my dinner of kid's leftover rice (not Aadding much to the food theme yet!) and lemonade lol. Wild. How truly wild my Saturday nights have become...! Ughh and as from next Friday I am officially closer to 40 than 30! Whaaaaaaaa how is this happening!! I am only 22 inside my head!!? Meh :-/

No hangover for work tomorrow morning tho, be nice hey! I think only 2 Sundays in about 5 months? The last one being my first sober attempt (13 days). So that will actually be very refreshing.

Have a great rest of the weekend all! xx

Hey kevin... What's that from?

Back to food for a moment.... Went to whole foods to over pay for groceries today... Was in the mood for something tasty without the effort... They have a butternut squash and lobster chowder that is simply the best!

I also have a flat iron steak marinating in some over priced sauce I got at the same time.

So how is it I walked nearly 10 miles today and I still feel fat?

Oh............ Butternut squash lobster chowder.... The 16 oz container.....

I like feeling fat!

Hi Weasel - just opened your thread - what a brilliant idea. My daughter and are are having a mini break staying in the city at my Mum and Dad's apartment. We are basically having a food and yoga fest. It has been awesome. This amazing organic food store and cafe opened nearby just a few weeks back. Just had an immunity juice, coffee and incredible raspberry muffin for breakfast.

I love cooking and my hobby has really been reignited since getting sober. I've been trying to eat really healthily and cooking lots of different stuff. It's sort of like adding lots of the good stuff so there's not room for the bad stuff.

Have a great day.

Hey kevin... Feeling a little "peaked"?

We live in this god forsaken age of fast answers.

I am not good at waiting.

BTW... Never watched it.

AF66... Good to see you! Been a bit... Yoga and good food sounds amazing! Enjoy!

"Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries."

Well, if you wanted movie quotes. Try some French taunting.

Went to the little red schoolhouse nature center with the kids and then shopping at old navy and Marshall's. FYI for the US crowd, Marshall's is always a good place to go for cheap coffee and odd pickles and things. I picked up a tin of smoked paprika for three dollars and coconut butter which I thought I'd try. They also had decent priced Olive oil but I don't need any.

The nature center was fun except my daughter got scared when I tried to get them to do the nature walk. Don't know why. Good idea that she didn't want to go because the mosquitoes are awful and we didn't have bug spray. I'm being eaten in my own backyard while trying to weed. I did find the pump for my yard fountain in the middle of the weeds. I think I'm going to reconstruct it this summer. Maybe the pump will work. If not, they are still inexpensive.

Olive, I don't think the pig tin is the same licorice but the tin sounds super cool. How about the milk box? Any luck?

I'm going to get the branch cutters. Volunteer trees are out of control.

Yay Weasel on trying kayaking! I thinks awesome that you did. Even if you didn't like it.

Mrs Non just stuffed me full of grilled flank steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli salad and sauteed beet greens.

Food induced coma in 3...2...

Now Non's dinner sounds delicious. I am having pizza. I sometimes attend an open meeting on Saturdays and the last Saturday of the month they have pizza. Still have a fridge of food to cook and eat but I hate cooking when the kitchens a mess. And it's a mess.

The sky just opened and it is pouring. Thundering too. It would be nice to watch from the porch but it is blowing onto the porch.

survived six months intact

Made it through the birthday party. There was a line of coolers. The ones farthest from the people had water and soda. Drank two sprites, three waters and a cup of coffee. But I must admit I thought I could surely have one or two - but didn't.
Funny thing is an old friend saw me with a water bottle and said, "What? Water no beer?" I said today was exactly six months without a drink. I was congratulated. In fact at least three other people congratulated me on not having a drink for six months - and they don't know the story. They just said congratulations. Two people told me one day at a time. I don't know how they came up with that, but it was pretty cool that people who only see me once a year or two honed in on it.
The new car's tire pressure light came on with less than 100 miles on it. Seems the right front picked up something already. Made it home without having to change a tire. But it will be flat in the morning.

C'Mon Weasel, just one more try on the water? Glad you survived.

I ate, and I ate, and I ate again. Whatever that pink stuff with tiny marshmallows in it was, it suuuuuuuuuure is good. I brought home about 4lbs of filled cabbage, meatballs, fruit salad and veggies. Won't be cooking for a couple days.

Leftover of yummy stuff. Brain, I am envious. Went to my open meeting and had pizza afterwards. It was good pizza. I am sated and now tired. Mr. Ruby is leaving now for work.

Weasel, I love storms too. It has passed and the thunder has been replaced by the sound of a distant fireworks display. Must have been some show.

Time to get my son in bed. And then I can relax. Maybe. I seem to never relax.
